Son's Blood Bowl Team: Robots

here is what my son wants for his Blood Bowl team [Using the Orcs Team list]:

Thrower:


Black Orc:


Blocker:


Lineman [or Baby Bots]


Goblins: [cause they are flying ones]



Head Coach:


the only thing we need now is a Troll sized Bot.... any one got ideas?

EDIT: arrghh just noticed the Black Orc Bot is on a 40mm base I think I am going to have to sort that out.

Hydra Miniatures - They have LOTS of robots!


I googled "28mm robot miniatures"

I think the black orc bot is going to end up being the Troll sized mini as its on a 40mm base. and the Orc Blitzer mini will bump up to black orc so now I need to replace the Orc Blitzer.

I find the 40mm base is irritating in BB, but if it's round the problem is a lesser one - if the figures feet does not stick out.

still waiting to hear back if it will fit on a 25mm or 30mm base. if it won't work on 25mm eg feet sticking over the edge i'll upgrade him to troll and then use the alternative mini as a blocker.

I love themed teams/squads makes it easy to write background info and for some one to "get them" at a glance.

will post pics once they arrive and are painted up.

yeah I am going to have to swap the Black Orc out as he is to big for a 25mm base. but I don't feel like he would be good enough to be used as a troll.

so the mono wheel gets promoted to Blitzers and the one we had as Blitzer gets bumped up to Black Orc.

Still having a think about the Toll......

I believe the model I suggested uses a 40mm base... its 2.5" tall!

ok with constant peer pressure Ausbowl forum, Death Squad forum, and TFF I showed my son the Rayman range of minis:

So with this Retro Look I now have an issue what to use as for the Black orcs.

maybe this guy: [but at $7USD each not a cheap option. Plus he is a limited edition mini, not sure on qty available.]


This team would be over $100NZD whilst the other Team from BlackCatbases would be closer to $70NZD
So I need some help please vote which you prefer and why. The lad likes both.....
