| Heh everyone! I thought I'd share my latest efforts (all WIP) with you. There's a bit of a mish mash here, but we'll see how it goes... Chaos Marine Sorcerer (might end up painted for a GW store villains competition)... Based mainly off the new jump pack elites, with a lightning bolt made from crushed wire mesh. My new imperial guard squad - a mixture of forces from the elite 4th Blacksanders, the 12th Sector Fleet Medicae Corp and the 21st Calieces Penal Legion. First up, the elites (officers)... Lead by Sergeant Shivers... Squad Sniper: Chosen Man - Santos Squad Communications: Chosen Man - Chern Squad Leader: Sergeant 'Blue Boy' Shivers The Medicae Corps (Survivors of the Tau Atrocities in Sector 423a56) Orderly Valette (Flamer) Orderly Pirsig (Heavy Stubber) Chief Medicae: Major Milton with Junior Medics Clinkerton and Applebaum The Penal Legion Troopers Custodian Sergeant Reisert and the remaining two Penal Legion Troopers Flint and Hart (both who are currently wearing faulty bomb collars) A lone scout on the world of Erloch Ce... More to come in a minute... Cheers Laney | |

| Lot's of really cool and characterful models. They look very good As for the Tau, I'd keep the cloak. | |

| You've got some GREAT LOOKING stuff up there. the Flamer is probably my favorite in the group...for whatever that's worth. I also vote for the Tau in Cloak...it adds something to the mini. | |

| Thanks gents! Getting more paint on these things is definitely the plan and I will go with the cloak. I'm currently working on a rather large Bull Dragon from Mierce Miniatures. He is a terrible green beast, but I can't seem to get a photo of the WIP that doesn't look really poor.
More soon! | |

| Like the lads here said: great models! The Squad Sniper and Sergeant 'Blue Boy' Shivers are my favorites. But those Penal Legion Troopers sure look prosing as well! I'd use the cloak on the Tau model. | |

| Thanks Gatlag. The model is from Mierce miniatures. It was part of the Darklands Kickstarter. It is a beautiful hunk of resin. The Dragon men models (more of those later) are even cooler!

| Massive resin? The heavy stuff or the lighter, like finecast, stuff? Anyways it's quite a beast! | |

| The heavy stuff. This is denser than forgeworld and way more than finecast. It is harder (thin bits don't break off easily), but it cuts with a knife or clippers pretty easily. There was the usual GS filling needed with a model this size, but generally really easy to prepare. The detail it holds is amazing. Cheers Laney | |

| COOL STUFF! The Dragon Guy is an especially nice looking piece; considering my normally negative reactions to anything Draconian, that is saying something. He's painting up VERY nicely too boot. The Flamer is coming along SPLENDIDLY; I hadn't noticed the dreadlocks before...a fine touch. All in all GREAT WORK! | |

| Thanks Deaf - I need to get in another painting session, but work is taking up my evenings at the minute! I've managed to add a couple of Skitarii to the squad though (Up to 6 and a servo skull) and I feel it is stretching my Green stuff skills nicely. New guy with combat shotgun Based on the same model as this heavy stubber (with a change of pose)... New guy with shotgun (perhaps a bolter equivalent?) - chest, hood, back and gun remodelled. The whole (blurry) gang)... Any thoughts? What does the squad need next? (IG equivalent) Cheers Laney:D | |

| The Squad looks TERRIFIC together. GREAT WORK! Any chance of a close up of the servo Skull? There is something really appealing about those Thingies for moi. | |

| Looking indeed darn awesome! The only thing I can think of is that that new guy with shotgun must be freakin' strong to hold his gun like that! | |

| Ok a little update... A new squad member perhaps my favourite conversion for a while and some blood angel terminators (for the Bloodwing I've had planned for ages!)... The pics are rubbish, but I wanted to get these out before my holiday. This guy is carrying a silenced melta carbine (plasma gun counts as in death squads)... The cloak is from the empire pistoliers and the weapon is a mix of infernus pistol and scout sniper rifle. And a few of my new terminators. I've been playing around with augmetics and battle damage (but the pics are so poor it doesn't show very well). the guy holding the mini terminator is communicating with another squad (mini termie is an old epic mini I picked up in a bits box from ebay). These guys are finally being combined with the space hulk minis and a few others I had to make an almost complete deathwing (blood angels) army... The Thunder Hammer guy has an augmetic left leg from the knee down... The plasma cannon guy has an augmetic right leg from the knee down... The apothecary has one of my favourite poses for the army... Cheers Laney | |

| Quick addition... A slightly better pic of the augmetics on the two terminators... The plasma cannon termies was made from the loader part of a devastators missile launcher and a carved out right terminator leg. The thunder hammer termies was made from six separate parts, gs and thin plastic tubing. | |

| Darn sweet! That's indeed a really sweet conversion! Great work on the gun! I also love that guy with the mini terminator! Are you going to paint it like a hologram? And be sure to enjoy your vacation!

| Thanks Gents! Here's a little something (a bit of speed painting - each one took me about 15-20 minutes). These sedition wars strain will make great extras in all sorts of games... They are based around the Ali McVey method of painting Strain Phase 1... I've touched up a couple of bits that showed up in the photos, but otherwise they are done. I'm looking forward to finishing the box. @Deaf: I love doing bionic bits, glad you like it! @Gatlag: Totally going for the hologram look - but blue or green (I'm thinking blue)? Cheers Laney | |
