| In the Dim Past a Legendary War Beasty was born...well about 5 years ago Friend John sent me a pair of plastic Rhinos of the Animal persuasion that he picked up at Michael's. From this somewhat less than promising start I came up with THE WONDROUSLY WEIRD mini I'm about to inflict upon you...my dog converted the other one . There is some discussion as to which conversion turned out better; she seemed to enjoy the processs somewhat more than moi...really got her teeth into it. AND NOW, WITH SOME FURTHER DELAYS, FOR YOUR EDUCATION & EDIFICATION, I PRESENT LULU THE LAND WASTER, SCOURGE OF THE OLD WORLD:

| ok Deafnala I am advising you that we will be building a shrine to you. Mord has self elected himself as Pope and I shell be the Master of Nunnly Virtue. [eg young novice nuns hehehehe]
the shrine shell be commissioned and made from empty paint pots dipped in gold it shell tower high above us low born. upon it shell be angles who will sing to your painting master skills at the commencement of each day. For the they will sing about each brush stroke and highlight that have added to your work.
They will croon about the colour pellet you used, and to the detail that you executed.
And behold they shell be a siren to the young painters who will flock to throw themselves down in worship at the feet of a true master.
I humbly bow to you master of the brush and will await your next painting adventure with much excitement and wonder.
your devoted disciple LGW

| The pictures do NOT do this model ANY justice. It puts ALL other models to shame. Without a doubt... THE most amazing model I have EVER seen, touch, smell... and even tasted. Yes... I HAD to lick it a little. I sympathize with Deaf's dog... hmmm... painting perfection... great taste and less filling!
It seems serious (those Gobbos look mean!), yet funny (the Rhino is a girl... with lipstick?!?!) The delicate brushes are NOT wasted... the telescope looks like it has glass on top.
The conversion is AMAZING... the platform is slightly tilted (to the point that my mother-in-law and I had to measure it to make sure it had not 'shifted during shipping') in such manned that is seems the Rhino is moving and EVERYONE inside is shifting their weight! The addition of fur makes the Rhino become a 'prehistoric' beast. The basing is delicately crafted, to the point that you forget it is there! The chains seem to be holding the crazy platform.
No detail has been spared... from pupils, to the ADDITION of fur, to fingernails, to space BETWEEN teeth! The painting technique is executed to perfection... NMM, OSL, hard-line highlighting... this piece is a FESTIVAL of all those high level advanced techniques we all dream we could pull one at a time at least once in our lifetimes.
Deaf... you just outdid yourself. I could not think it would be possible for me to repeat the feeling I had when I saw the Blood Angels' Terminators... but I was completely and unequivocally wrong. I guess you get that feeling, no matter how many times you get to see a Master Piece from your favorite artist. There are no amount of words that can truly describe the piece, your talent and the emotions of wonderment, amazement, puzzlement, enjoyment, despair, compliments, envy, hope, admiration, greatness, sadness, inspiration, perspiration and devotion your work has in EVERYONE that lays eyes on it.
Thank you for sharing. Now I understand... really... I understand what you mean when you 'happened to tell me' what it would mean to you to have some pictures taken. It seems like an ethical duty to let the world see. I agree with Lord GreyWolf... from now on, when I get asked what religion I practice, I will answer with pride... DeafNalism!

| ... I'd like to thank all the Little People the that made this possible: Doc, Happy, Horny...I ALWAYS get the feeling after reading one of Mord's reactions to some Little Horror I've done up that I just won an Oscar. Thanks for the kind words, Guys. AND THANKS MUCHO FOR THE WONDERFUL PHOTOS, Mord; I can hardly wait to hear your reaction to the Troll Standard Bearer. | |

It's in the same box inside a smaller box stuck in the corner...careful; it bites. - Mordheimer wrote:

Moggd's mini is in Box# 1 about dead center, surrounded by Fanatics. @jd3: what a concept! The next one gets named Sarah...the howdah will have to lean far to the right.

Thanks; glad you liked her...I hope it was worth the wait. ACTUALLY I haven't used her at all. The game plan was just to have her as a bolt thrower for my Night Goblin Army, but that didn't quite work out . Now I'm thinking of doing similar pieces for a Post Apocalypse Mordheim & possibly Ash Waste Death Squad. Mord has the rest of the Army sitting in all those boxes that keep getting mentioned. SO ...be prepared to have your mind dazzled by further examples of a what a sick mind can concoct...or not.

why the lipstick and orange hair??? The lipstick effect may just be a bit over the top, but considering the general silliness of the piece, it seemed appropriate. The orage hair was more or less intentional; it matches the Trolls hair. One of the Trolls can be seen here: https://s762.photobucket.com/albums/xx269/DeafNala/WHFB/Troll/ - edward wrote:

Well that's rather a long story, but basically when I was living on Long Island the only gaming store active in W.H.F.B. was a rather long bus ride away. AND when the then new Orcs & Goblins book came out it rather killed the interest in all Goblin armies...the other 6 Guys raising hordes of the Little Greenies sold their stuff off & took up War Machine/Hordes. Interest in W.H.F.B. died in general at the store with 7 th Edition.

| Deanala...This is another freakin masterpiece. This is why I hold your models soooo dear and they are in their own protective cases.
In case of fire, your models are the only things I would grab first (besides my wife and daughter)

| Thanks, Da Bank; I'm glad you like Lulu AND the pieces I've done for you. If it wouldn't endanger your Wife & Daughter, we have to see about increasing the number of my pieces infesting your home...maybe some collaborative work on your conversions. | |

| After some negotiation from DEAFNALA, he managed to convince me to keep Lulu as a permanent loan. I will treasure her for as long as I have her... lipstick and all. Ohhh... and for the record, this had NOTHING to do with the negotiation! My philosophy? If I eat it, is MINE! Lulu almost got it... | |
