Make yourself comfortable; re, this might take awhile to get through. Having just now...now meaning before I took the photos & went through the LONG & LABORIOUS uploading rigormaroll...finished the last of the Pistoleers, I thought an update was in order. In addition to the Dashing Pony Guys I took a new set of photos of the Mercenary Dwarven Rogues, Wizard, & his Froggy Friend; i.e., a second try at some of the poorer photos.

SO without further ado, The Pistoleers:

The Mercenary Dwarf Rogues:

..some close ups of the Gang startingg with the Captain & his trusty Halberdier:

...Beardling & Babe:

..Sharpshooter & Engineer:

...Halberdiers:

...The Veterans, Doppel Dwarfs:

...the Hangers On, Dead Dick Turnip & his Goblin associate:

...the Wizard & his Henchfrog:

AND the Group Portraits:

...there you have it...you can stop whining now.  clown

Thanks, Gatlag. I think the Gang looks pretty good altogether...Group Portraits are may favorite photos.
Froggy was partial made by my friend, Ben aka floedebolle. I finished the sculpt & painted him. He is a cool not-so-little Freak. Ben made a different version for himself; I'll see if I can steal a photo.   clown

Addendum: Got him. Ben had the mini painted for him by Simon Bradley:

...cool, eh?

I understand that Simon gets a pretty penny for his paint jobs, but Ben seems to like his work enough to part with his bucks/euros/pounds sterling.   clown

OH HAPPY DAYS! The Knights of the Blessed Order of the Gooey Death are FINALLY DONE! AND, without further ado, here they are:

The Knights with the Pistoleers in support:

As WONDERFUL as the miniature are & as enjoyable as they were to paint, it is a GLORIOUS feeling of release having them done.   clown

The latest addition to the back alleys of The Blight is a Female Duelist aka Femme Fatale. The miniature is Reaper's #03311 Rhaine, Female Duelist...another more appropriate name is forthcoming:

The Girl has been sitting around forlornly waiting for some attention, SO I'm pleased to have finished her...she looks better in person.     clown

I've used Scotia Grendel's Goblin's Gate in the background of innumerable photos...I'm not very good at counting among other things...& never took a photo of the piece by itself UNTIL NOW. I think it looks more like a Vampire's Gate SO I added the Vampire Mouse Familiar from Reaper:

...a view through the door:

AND The Goblin Village as it is now:

I finished the cobbles simply to have a spot for the photos of the Gate...I'll skip the senility observation...this time.   clown

SO there is a reason the Floral Section Girl at Michael's breaks into a cold sweat whenever I browse the section. I've been working on some flowers to grow on the vines surrounding Rapunzel's Twisted Tower:

This is one before priming:

AND a bunch all primed up pretty:

AND some Mushrooms as well...when I'm trying to figure out color or such for minis, I make Mushrooms:

I've been thinking of adding to The Spooky Woods. SO I'm experimenting with DAS, air dry clay, for the bark. You might say this DAS Tree:

...there you go. That, by the way, is the natural color of the clay...no paint  yet.   clown

I had this Pointy Eared Dandy sitting in his blister for a LONG time. The blister finally parted ways with the card backing & the separate arm disappeared into that part of the Ethereal Plane normally reserved for missing socks...not pairs of socks mind, but only singles. WELL I couldn't have that; SO I ordered just the missing arm &, once it arrived, I assembled, based, & primed the Adventuring, Now With All Pieces Represented Elf. He then sat for another prolonged session in Limbo until the recent spurt of energy motivated me to finish him.

NOW without further ado, The Elf About Town:

...untrustworthy looking at best, but there you have him.   clown

SO I have The Tree primed & ready for some color. As a size reference, a W.I.P. Troll volunteered to pose by The Tree:

...The Troll:

...AND Friends:

Now all I have to do is overcome the lure of monochromatic.  clown

SO, with all the monochromatic talk, I decided to make a couple of mono/gray scale pieces. The first will be a cavern piece. While it would work nicely with Heep's Place or possibly an extension of Rapunzel's board, it will undoubtedly get the most service as a photo stage.

I'm in the carving/gluing stage right now:

It's clicking right along as quickly as my putter & tweak approach to terrain building can go...there's already anther piece atop the back wall. I'm hoping the Goblins I have underway will finish about the same time as Grayscale Cavern.  clown

AND a second update:

The next step will be detailing & painting. I have visions of further photo stages whirling through my mind...like sugar plums on speed.  Nuclear

b]AND[/b] an update: the monochrome is largely completed barring some touching up; some details have been included with more planned. This how it looks thus far:

...some glowing moss/fungus:

...The Pit:

...some creepiness:

...up close:

...more creepiness:

...up close:

...there you go. The next step will be adding some more details in mono & color. The eyes willl probably get some color to them as well. clown

SO for some Sin City contrast, I added spots of color.
The Glowing Mold:

...The Eye:

...AND The Eyes:

There will be more spots of glorious color details, but this is where we stand thus far.   clown

I just finished the first of my removable details; i.e., The Eye in The Pit:
...by itself:

...in The Pit:

...pretty creepy, eh? With the possible addition of tentecles, the creepiness may become more pronounced.   clown

Don't you LOVE those Epic Movies that start with a dramatic scene of some vast area...like the Negev or some such desert in Lawrence of Arabia? Then the camera zooms in on The Hero as the theme music builds in the background. Well I took some photos of The Vault of Pack Rattiness & my Work Tables from HELL! for a rant about something I've decided not to get into AND, rather than waste them, I decided a cinematic approach to my diminutive Heroes-in-Progress would be a fine & inappropriate idea. SO sns the music, here we go:

The Work Space (well actually 2/3 of the work space, but let's not quibble):

...sweeping majestically past the Monochromatic Scenery:

...& the Dark Hold Goblins:

...we approach the Heroes:

...a leap into the Present:

...& a few possible distractions...hedging my bets:

...there you go. Wasn't that fun?   clown

AND the first of the Goblins are done with the rest chugging along at a fair pace:

...more before the year is over...or not.   clown

I finished five of the sly Goblin faces & all the metalwork...

...before a new distraction took hold: i.e., a couple of Faeries:

...one airhead making a rather unfortunate landing/fly-by; & a blood thirsty one with a NASTY pair of shears.   clown

AND later the same day, the Faerie Fiend is now based & posing with the latest of her victims:

...the victim:

...the two Faeries:

SO the first minis of '16 are a Trio of Mites (Reaper) all painted up & ready to make like miserable for Visiting Adventures in Cavern Gray Scale:

...seen off in the distance:

...AND up close:

...with a shot of what's happening on the work table:

...there you go once more!  clown

SO I made some small progress with the PathFinder Goblins...finished faces/flesh tones & torches:

Then one of the Folk on Reaper's Forum posted Racquel Blackrose; AND I had to find the one I had lurking in The Vault to base & prime:

...while I was at it & in the throes of Pirate mania, I figured I might as well organize the unpainte Pirates I had kicking around...maybe get a couple ready to paint:

I still have a few more Living Impaired Swashbucklers to base...when the bases arrive from Reaper...I ran out. SO a new distraction. AAAARRRGGH!   clown

SO I finished basing the Deadite Pirates & took some photos of them & some of their Living Pirate associates/adversaries:
.

..you can't be a proper pirate without a cannon or two:

...& the Living Swashbuckers:

...some additional staff at Fast Flo's:

...AND the charming couple who will soon be residence of The Ping Tree:

...that's what I've been up to to date.  clown
