Love the conversion! I wish I could GS like you! I can only do culos (yes... asses. See Amparor) Hehehe...

I would suggest, drill the barrel of the gun. Increases realism and take 10 seconds to do!

Thanks for sharing man!

Very cool - look forward to seeing it with some paint. Nice, precise GS work on the Burna - cool shield idea as well!

The Green Stuff mask on the first burna-boy is excellent. It reminds me of the old Adeptus Arbites models, something which I would love to recreate.

Thanks for showing us these!

It's a tight paintjob, for sure! But I do feel it could do with some brighter and more outspoken colors. Or maybe some warpaint. He's an Ork, after all. (:

AMAZING!!!! Simple suggestion... a "kill count"? In bright colors, paint couple little skulls or flames to represent kills!

I love the dark tones... I would suggest the tip of the flamer bronze and then brown wash to black on tip... to represent the metal natural hue color change after so much reheating.

GREAT JOB!!!!

I like this paint job - it shows off a different style of delivery of the ork theme (when compared to the bright colours and cartoon painting of GW). This for me is a grittier truth of Orkiness in the 40k universe as both savage and barbaric (which comes across brilliantly in many of the 40k novels, but is downplayed in the Ork Codex). As someone who tries to paint in different ways I tend to get drawn back to the gritty/dirty as well (Which incidently, is why Da Amparor from Mordheimer was so cool - because it got me thinking about other approaches).

The only thing is some scorch marks on the end of the flamer would be cool.

Nice work

I agree with 02laney, I dont like bright colors on orks, I like dirty orks, with low color and lots of grey-brown (i dont see an ork cleaning his clothes Puke ), i dont like GW Codex orks. But as you say, maybe a liitle bright in metal parts will be fine, and some work in the end of the flamer will be good too. Ill try Very Happy

Thanks for the feed

@Chuchosky: This model looks amazing. I agree with you about the more toned down ork colours but I can see that maybe a single (battered and worn) shoulder pad might look good if it was more vibrant colour. A toned down yellow or blue would add some contrast and a focal point for this miniature. Its similar to the difference between real-world camo and miniature camo, you don't want the model to disappear but rather to look like it could!

Still think its awesome.

@ Chuchosky: Try painting the tanks cherry red... BRIGHT red... then put some metallic thin likes (scrapes)... then cover it with brown or sepia wash (ink) for that beat up look. It would look like the Orks TRIED to make the item from some nice tanks at one point, but that they have fallen to the usual Ork 'cleanliness is close to... WAAAGH!' that our green friends so much love. Wink
