| Hey guys, new here. I've been playing various GW games for about 13 years, mostly Mordheim. I've been playing Space Marine on the 360 alot lately though, so I went out in search of a 40k equivalent to my beloved 'heim, which led me here. Looking forward to introducing it to my group.
A little about me: I'm an engineer, happily almost-married, and mostly play Chaos... what else is there?
also, check out the beginning of my PLOG here: some cultists | |

| Hey dude! Welcome to Death Squads! Looks like you're in the right place. If you liked Space Marine and you prefer Chaos... Cultists will be like a dream. A bad-ass marine at the core of the squad, surrounded by minions. After a game or two your opponents will FEAR your marine.... mwuahahaha. What else is there? Oh man. Imperial Guard (in various flavors: Urban Fighters, Catachans, Cadians, Ice Guard), Eldar, Orks, Renegades. Tau and Adeptus Arbites are on the way. Am I forgetting anything? Take your pick! And speaking of pics: you posted a log! NICE! Looks ace. I'll comment over there. Once again WELCOME! | |

| Thanks for the welcome guys @Mord: I'm actually from KS, but live in Philly now... well, a suburb of Philly. Anywho, i frequent Toms Boring Mordheim Forum, and i asked over there if anyone could think of a good 40k version of Mordheim, and they directed me over here. The group I play with is pretty exclusively Mordheim right now, but I know several of them are into 40k as well, so I'm going to try to get them into playing some too. I'll let you all know how that goes. | |

| Great! As a Mordheim player you will have very (if no) issues playing . One of the things that you will like is that you are not forced into a temporal-spatial scenario (like in Mordheim, which you play after the comet crash in the City of the Damned) so you get to make your OWN Campaign atmosphere. Initially you will 'feel' like it is very similar to Mordheim (or Necromunda) until you get a little bit more in depth... then the difference will bite you. So you could play in a Feudal World (so you could use Mordheim terrain!), a Hive, a post-apocalyptic world, jungles, etc. All the Scenarios are objective driven. You may have noticed that some Mordheim Scenarios can be 'degenerated' into killing some of your opponent's weaker units and then 'camp out' waiting for a forced Routing. We managed to make a system in which the game does NOT force you to 'loose' (you can actually fight until your last man if you wish... and win heroically!) and the Scenarios actually reward when you complete the objectives (rather than just killing a few weak units... ) Good luck playing! I know you like the game! | |
