| WELCOME!!! Thanks for the kuddos. I think you will really enjoy the game. Since you are new to Warhammer, you will find that playing Death Squads will HELP you on your 40k adventure. Yes, the games are different but: - The game Turn mechanics are fairly similar (~80%)... so you get to the move, shot & assault timing.
- The combat tables are the same. No need for you to get 'confused' with tables... and you could even Mathhammer a little. This is critical when it comes to 40k... hehehehe.
- You get to try new armies! Yes... if you are starting, you may be a Space Marine player. Fairly common choice to start. You may not have many models, so you may use Death Squads to learn about other races... like Orks! You would get a kcick out of them... and maybe you decide to make an Ork army. WAAAGH!!!
- Small investment! You can get a box of IG troops and make your Squad!
- You can practice converting and painting at a smaller scale. One of the biggest issues about large armies is preparing them for play. With Death Squads, you only have to paint 15-20 models, so you get to achieve your goals quicker. Once you see how AWESOME your models look, you feel like you can tackle your army.
If you have ANY questions... regarding Death Squads or even 40k, please ask! We will be more than happy to help you!

| Welcome! As Mordheimer said, this is a GREAT intro into larger 40k games. We have taken a lot of the core mechanics of 40k and implimented them into this game, so when you move to 40k it will not be that hard to adjust.
When I started with this game I had only played 40k, and within 2 games I had Death Squads pretty much figured out. It won't take long for you to get into the swing of things!

| I have a few 40k games under my belt, I started to build a small choas worshiping ork force. but i am hoping to try out some new forces with death squads. I also have a small suggestion for the site, maybe you could open a "looking for a game section." Hopefully i will be able to play some games soon and share the results.
