| Hi everybody! First I want to say sorry for my english. I almost understand everything (I read/watch everything in english, if its original in english), but speaking an writing is still a problem for me… I am a 28 years old guy from Leipzig (Germany). I started playing Warhammer 40 00 with the glory first (or if you count Rogue Trader the 2.) edition. I like Tabletop games with roleplaying elements and I really love the 40k universe. As Warhammer 40.000 became more and more a fastplaying-easytolearn-youcanshotaroundcorners-game, I learnd to look around for alternatives. Over the years I played every fucking minisystem from GW (even historical old west). From all the games, I liked mor(d/t)heim the most, but sometimes it hurts that there was no mor(d/t)heim for 40k and that the warbands are so imba. I found out about Death Squads in 2009: find-download-read-fell in love- don’t find any players- So 3 years later I couldn't stand it any longer and started a promotion campaign for your game. At the moment I work at a local gaming store, so which moment could be better to force some tabletopers in to the best WH40K game I know about? My plan is to do some easy gaming until enough people are addicted and then start a real campaign. If you like to get some impressions of our promostuff, feel free to take a look at Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Mytholon.Leipzig | |

| Welcome Brother Lysander83!!! Welcome to ! I'm glad you found us! Wow... all the way from Germany! How cool is this!?! Sorry... even after all this years I get excited when we get new people from places far away from me! See? Now I have to add Germany to my places to visit and play ! Not to worry about English being a 2nd language... it is MY 2nd Language too and I write TLRB! Moral of the story? Do NOT use TLRB as a tool to learn English! I have tons of problems with 'maybe' and 'may be'... and I still use 'dices' instead of 'dice' (and its singular... 'die'). We are a friendly bunch, and what we want is to get to know about you, your hobby and your experiences. We leave grammar to the teachers (LANEY!!!)... as long as you do your best, we are all happy! It is AMAZING that you been lurking since 2009. Damn! That has to be some kind of record! Anyway.. I personally feel like you. I think that GW is wasting some great opportunities to continue the 40k franchise... the story! What I mean... I have heard that Malifaux is a great game, but I have never played it. If I find (by chance) some people that play, they could trick me into playing. The game system may be great... but if the story behind it sucks, I play it few times. That is what I'm afraid will happen to 40k. The new blood will come, find the game OK but fall in love with painting and converting... guess what? If they find a game that is better (with a more engaging background) or more detailed (or cheaper) models... they will never come back. In the end, GW will suffer and we (the fans of the background) will suffer too. Again... that is my personal view. I saw some of your stuff in Facebook... AWESOME! My German is REALLY bad... so, it could be nice if you make a post with some of the pics (WE LOVE PICS!!!!) and translation. I'm really happy for you... you seem to be having a great time with !!!! Enjoy your game... welcome home! | |

| Thanks for the friendly welcome! Be happy for the absence of german people. Flaming, bashing and flurry around about something are things which we often do at the internet. Must be a culture thing. I think GW will still be there, when the world go to hell (must be in 2012). But yes, they don’t get into fluff-conversion, like you do. I love it, like you care for such things. Anyway, I am glad to find my way to you and hope for some support (in most instances rule clarification) in the future. I will open a new Thread with some pics of our store, the squads, terrain and such things, when I find the time. Actually its always a good feeling, if somebody care for the things you do. | |

| Germany! Mord... that's not far away at all. Just over 600 km from me! Welcome to Death Squads. Expect a warm welcome, but don't be surprised if I ban you in five months. It will depend on whether we win from you guys at Euro 2012. | |

| Hey... Mordheimer's Europe TourTM will be (so far) to United Kingdom, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark (among other things... I have NOT forgotten that I must "borrow" a super-heavy tank out of mudboy's house!), Poland, Czech Republic and Spain... although I have not decided the order yet. Ohhh... yes, better be OFF Fútbol (Football, Soccer?) season... or I will be going to matches with you freaks, instead of playing ! | |

| @Mordheimer: I like meeting people from other nations. Feel free to give good old germany a chance. @ Euro 2012: The only sports I like are: Jugger, Blood Ball and Airsoft, so don´t get me integrated into a soccer-thing…I know german people are soccer-crazy-beer-drinking- squares but there are exceptions: ...ok ok...i like beer.... | |
