I finally painted some more death guard. I airbrushed this rhino and then added weathering powders.

I airbrushed the nurgle sores as well. The purple colour will make more sense once I show some of the other models I am working on at the moment.

I tried using vallejo latex masking fluid on the model. I am not very happy with the round, blotchy areas of chipping it created. I sponged on some other damage and think it looks a lot better. I added the silver to the tracks and edges using a standard pencil.

Too much smoke. So ugly. I didn't put the doors on for some other unknown reason. I think I thought the sores looked cooler on the inside like this.

Thanks Arachas and Gatlag. I am pleased with the overall effect but I thought there were some things I could improve.

For the second and third rhinos I added a slight airbrushed highlight (so slightly lighter than the first one). I also was more careful with the smoke and painted a few more details by hand (lenses, skulls). I didn't use any masking and did the battle damage with a sponge and a pencil.

Rhino 3

Sacrificial tank or something on the back.

Ace work Narcissus!

This is a lovely tank, with a very cool tank on it! The weathering is absolutely brilliant and the colour scheme is highly original.

(not to mention your continuing mastery of the mighty airbrush!)
