| Ace looking models and cool conversions - mechanicus has such potential. I've looked at these models a couple of times.
Renegades might be a nice option (the mutations of the sergeants can represent upgrades), plus the recruits aren't too weak. Straight IG would work too (but probably equipment heavy) - dkok might work well for this.

| Look at the time stamp?! this is the time it took me to switch from photo setup to airbrush - mix some red - spray - switch back to photosetup (its just a cardbox) and post again here... did I say I LOVE my airbrush!? First basecolor laid down: DKOD? Laney? | |

| Very nice. The red looks really good. Did you do zenithal highlights with the airbrush or just put a wash down in the folds? What colour red did you use? It looks very nice.
Those models are cool too. I've also looked at them.
Do you do any resin casting Komfritten? I have some thoughts for parts to sculpt for a mechanicus squad.
Edit: Renegades or cultists would work well for IG. Cultists as they have lots of weapon options. Renegades as they have customizable mutations. You could also do something a bit off the wall like eldar and write your own fluff for the aspects and things. Get a chance to use a squad that is totally different.

| @Narc: I've done no casting yet, but I'm eager to try. If we move after summer I'll have a dedicated workspace, and that will definately be on the agenda... I see no reason not to branch out... I washed him, have had no guts to try zeni... thingie yet. But will probably give it a try when I focus my attention on my GK's again. @Devo: Found them in the local store, not pricey but not cheap either =) Think they are fairly common. Thanks for the shouts guys - alway a pleasure to share in this community | |

| Sweet model! Think he would indeed fit in a Renegade squad or so! You make everything look easy! Even I am tempted to try out an airbrush but I'm sure I'll f**k it up! | |

1: I used Mechrite Red. 2: After the Resin Casting turorial, I might just take resin casting up - It looks great fun! And mayby I could actually make some cool components for my terrain / buildings, I could not de "by hand" =) But I am NO sculptor, so I'll probably just replicate the works of other....
