Not sure how much more than 'hai guys!' to put here, so here goes.
Stumbled upon this site while looking for "40k skirmish rules". Ironic, I know. My first taste of 40k was coming up on 20 years ago with a 3rd edition intro box. Not having anyone to play against (go go rural Wyoming) and not being artistically bent, it sat on my shelf. Last spring after binging on the Dawn of War games I dug out the old box to show my son. Next thing I know I've built myself a little paint station, developed opinions on paint, and have boxes full of unpainted plastic.
I still haven't properly played 40k (still rural Wyoming), but I'm really enjoying modeling and painting. I'm by no means skilled, but it's cathartic. I take pretty decent light box shots of my poorly painted miniatures.
Other collateral info... I'm a geek (PC games, anime, RPGs, etc) married to a geek (manga, K/J-drama) raising a pair of geeks (undecided). I'm a probation officer for adolescents and young adults, primarily substance abuse related.
Not sure what other info to drop here, ask away, I'm an open book.
