at this point the 3d printer is cheaper than the laser cutter

Yeah, I really see potential in that one - too bad I can't do the 3d modelling thing ... And that is probably one thing I'm not taking up in a long time - too much to learn allready hehe

If you know 3d modeling software you can even send off your files and just have one or two offs printed too for reasonable prices as well.

Yes I was, but the whole project wasn't cost effective in the long run. Way to many peices to cast up. But maybe I can find some inspiration in these (retardedly overpriced) buildings.

@Komfritten: 3D modelling is not as hard you might imagine. Have a look at this thread. I made some simple buildings using Tinkercad which is a very easy tool for 3D modelling. It also has some very good tutorials to get you started.

Here's a few examples of what you can make:
