| Okay, there has been moderate demand and this time it will be done. PRISONER EXCHANGE 2013 (I know caplocks is shouting, but I need to get your attention, this forum is too quiet!). Here is what you need to do if you want to participate:
1. Create a work in progress log in this subforum "Prisoner Exchange 2012". Call if "Your name Prisoner Exchange 2013" or something similar so we know it is recent. 2. Update your converting, modelling, and painting progress in your log whenever you get a chance. 3. Complete the model to the best of YOUR abilities.
Build a model on any theme you would like for any faction in deathsquads. Models must be completed by November 1st, 2013. Shortly before this I will send out a personal message to each person who is working on their models and get their postal address and give them the address of who they will be posting (mailing) their completed model to (This is to avoid having people not complete their prisoners and people not receiving prisoners).
Please post here if you are planning to participate.
Here is the list of participants so far: -Narcissus -Sunyata (are you wanting to mail out a prisoner or no? I didn't understand in your previous entry) -Matt12z -Lazi -Laney -mudboy

| Wooo! Time to get my thinking head on, time to get converting! I assume we're following the same rules as for the previous prisoner exchange, which can be found in the sticky above, and are posted below (lifted straight from this thread here. Click here.) - Mordheimer wrote:
- The rules are simple...
- All participants must be registered on the Death Squads Forum.
If you are not registered... you can't even see this post! HA! It means, members of your local club can ONLY participate if they are also registered in our forum! This is about sharing! Take the best pics you have of your model's WiP... we love 'em! Then, when you receive your model
- All participants must have a post of their Introduction on the Welcome Mat (including how they found out about ) AND at least 5 (five) meaningful somewhere on the Forum.
If we don't know you... do we really want a model from you? This is a GREAT way to make friends. Any member that has been registered before January 1st, 2011 that has over 20 posts do not need to have an introduction on the Welcome Mat... but you shoudl!
- All participants must have an updated profile, with at least an Avatar and a location where they leave (i.e. California, USA; Essex, England; Zagazig, Egypt, etc.)
It IS exciting to know where you could be sending your model to... and where you may get one from!
- Participants will NEVER be required to post their mailing address (DON'T POST IT!). On the required time, the Organizer (Mordheimer) will PM you for that information via Private Message (PM). Once destinations are determined, he will PM every participant with the destination of their Prisoner.
- This Event is open to ALL levels of hobbyists... be this your first model or you are a Golden Daemon 'regular'.
The point is to make the best model YOU can. Push your own limits. If you have never done highlights, painted eyes, rust metal, base other than grass... try them now!
- The model you will make, shall be known as your Prisoner.
We got to name them something cool... better than just plain old model.
- All participants must have the ability and will to take and post pictures of their Prisoner, as well as the one they receive.
This is about sharing! Take the best pics you have of your model's WiP... we love 'em! Then, when you receive your a Prisoner... make your builder proud by showing off what you got!
- All participants will join by posting on this thread their nick, their location, favorite Squad.
WHAT? We want to know what YOU want to play... maybe the Prisoner you get could join your Squad!
- All participants agreed to ship the Prisoner, no matter where in the world.
Yes, this means that YOU have to package and ship your Prisoner to someone else... SOMEWHERE around the world. It could get expensive. Be nice!
- All Prisoners must have a practical use in Death Squads.
So, no point in working out a Dragon... no dragons in !
- All models must fit on a standard 25mm base.
This means no large models, which have to be based on 40mm bases! Why? Costs mainly... it is not fair for someone with limited income AND lives in a remote area to send a large model (expensive shipping) while someone else sends a tiny model.
- All participants must assemble (if applicable), convert (if applicable) and paint the Prisoner themselves.
Again... this is about YOU pushing YOURSELF! If you have never done converting... try it now! Ask how to work Green Stuff, how to pose, learn how to cut plastic. No tricking your buddies into doing your work... we all WANT your best effort!!!
- All participants agree to do the very best work they can!
This is an honor system. You buy a model on eBay... great. But we rather exhibit a crappy looking 'my 1st time ever doing this' model from my FRIEND than an award winning looking 'bought from mass painters bussiness' model... any day.
- Participants may make requests for particular models, but NO PARTICIPANT IS REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE REQUEST!
This means... you can ask for something (i.e. I would like an IG Medic), but you may not get it! Remember this is NOT about you getting a model... but about you MAKING a model.
- Participants may start working on their Prisoner at any time, but everyone will get to know the name of the person they will send their Prisoner at the same time, via PM.
- All Prisoners should have on the base the name of the artist accompanied by "P.E. 2012" to commemorate the event.
- Participants will ship their model to their assigned destination on the assigned date (unless changed by popular demand.)
- Participants will receive a Prisoner from someone OTHER than the person they will ship the model they paint.
We want people to exchange models around the world!!!
- All participants are free to do whatever they think is good for their Prisoner.
If you think dipping is the way to go... dip away! There is no 'topic'... do whatever you like!
- Absolutely, positively NO FLAMING another person's work! THIS WILL INCUR IN AUTOMATIC BAN FROM OUR COMMUNITY WITHOUT WARNING.
We are all adults (or at least we pretend to be, even when we play with tiny plastic soldiers), so if you do not like the model you receive... BE GRATEFUL! Understand that the meaning of this Event is not the models, but camaraderie and friendship! If you don't think you can be polite... do NOT participate! I catch anyone being a spoiled brat, I will ban you from the forums without warning.

| Cool - good job Narcissus. I'm going to start tonight! Lots of ideas - not sure where to start. I've done an IG Sniper and Renegade Plasma Gunner in the past - so what's next? Cheers Laney | |

| I'm still in. Just got back from a larp event that's been stealing all my time of late but now that I've got more spare time on my hands I'll be cooking up something cool. I just hope I can control myself this year and not get carried away like last time. | |

| Hey all,
I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to pull out of this - theres no way I'm currently able to give the prisoner the attention it deserves, nor do I want to send someone something I'm not proud of. So please accept my apologies for this.

| Uhm, I won't be able to finish my prisoner in time. I took a tumble down a flight of stairs and can't really do much because of the pain in my back and hip. Really annoying as it's just sitting there on my desk with half a paintjob:(
Edit; It's all finished now:D
When are we sending them out and to whom? | |
