Here comes a short summary of first 3 battles of my kroot mercenaries had taken.

Skraat (leader) was, let say, curious. He survived many battles alongside Tau, earn trophies, rank and respect, but when he discreetly appropriated one of Tau dead lieutenants radio com, he realized, that function of living shield are not his dream... Even if they let you fight, and when you are done they find you another opponent.
When he came back to Pech, he decided to create his own figthband, but... not so many adult kroots want to go under his orders when they see him... middle-aged, with eye-replacement... He had to select rather second hand recruits. So here goes:
el Machete- headhunter
noone uderstands his love to all kinds of blades... every kroot like blades, especially the big ones, but he LOVE them.
Meat nad Royce (Stalkers)
two wild guys from eastern jungle, tough guys, they were thrown away from several other teams fo insubordination. It was easy. Skrat just have to show them who's the strongest kroot here.
Schaman vel Old One / grandpa (suprise! - shaman)
Old friend of Skraat, he teach him how to successfully hurt someone. Now his only reqest is to feel some exitment, smell battle smoke and taste fresh blood on his hands.
Karael and Mark (heavy weapons)
Those two really enjoys shootni from really big guns. Unfortunettly (for their opponents) they like glory of flames even more...
Itchy and Scratchy (kroot hounds)
nobody really know why these two are so aggressive, maby its bad childhood or mad tamer. However they have to bite and scratch one another. Seller almost paid me to take them
Recruits- nobody care how they're called. Not untill they survive at least few battles.

All together they travel to Kulabrudu, once a promising human colony, now covered with ruins and some woods filled with some almost-deadly creatures, perfect place for training

remember the bunch of eldars who fight with uncle Brad? My sqad of so peacefull creatures were suddenly attacked by them (strake out scenario), but Skraat was able to run away without a scratch. My commander, curious as always, just after he tear away he decided to check what so delicious cretures are doing here. So he followed them and find out they're concentrated around som weird structure. (assaluting the missile silo)
Stalkers found some dry sewer entrances and everyone led a group of warriors. Three groups of eldar warriors, cocentrated around silo, stayed frosty and were ready to almost everything. But not for explosion of their own Warlock (persils of war- warlock OOA, Guardian stunned). After that their left flan were wide-open for my striking forces, while main group pierce through the silo. After few more casualities eldar warriors flee from battlefield.

Mean while eldars has minor fight wits some orks, but we fouind only a stench.

Today we found sharpears, few of them were searching for something around old factory, more of them were probably around. Sensing a chance for good training Skraat give an order to assalut.
Attacking forces: Leader (krootrifle), Headhunter (KrootRifle), 2xStalkers(Chainsword+laspistol), shaman (schaman staff), 2xHeavyWeaponOperator [HWO] (flamers), 2xKroot hounds, 3xCarnivore (kroot rifles)
Defender: Exarch, Aspect Warrior, 2x Aspect Aspirant, Warlock, 3X guardian (lasgun) 1xGuardian (schuriken Catapult)

First turn:

At the begining one of my carnivores shoot and take ooa (!) enemy A.Aspirant, as seen above rest of sqad found some cover and move forward
As a response, Eldar found cover behind a factory. ===========================>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Second turn:
Kroots moved forward, try to shoot.

enemy reinforcements shows up just behind The Spoonge Temple: A.Aspirant and two guardians with lasguns and one with Shuriken Catapult. (Commander's still missing)

and take cover inside

Meat Use his Backstabber skill to charge on Warlock, take him OOA and... stay in the open. In range those guys from temple. Other kroots moved closer.

Respond was qick and brutal, Meat became meat, second stalker were charged by second A.Asp., fortunatelly just KO, Commander helped him, took A.A. OOA.

next turn enemy exarch showed up, shoot, like the rest of guardians (only eldars left!), make my HWO down, then exarch, after he kill scratchy was assaluted by itchy and one of the carnivores, my commander practise shooting from distance, and when HWO stood up, he fire to guardians inside. twice. No single effect. But after the death of his commander enemy flee.

post battle: NONE of eldars taken OOA died. but two of his officers, warlock and someone else, lost an arm, so replacements take lot of cash. as i remember commander buy a scorpion claw.
from my side, everyone feel fine, bacause my commander had new nickname (ssshhhh!!) lazy-eye he buy two chainswords, we'll see how it work, krootrifle probably will by passed down to new recruit.

(damn! its already 4 in the morning!)

For me Vicious Charge was a really big help, but in this battle between kroot and eldar i used it maby 3-4 times. it give a great adwantage in the first turn of charge... but You have to be the one charginng, and with eldals and their mobility it wasn't easy. half of all charges made my kroot hounds just bacause they could run 10", but they doesn't have VC skill.
I think that against any other race with move 4 i could use it more often, but it will be less ballanced.

Good to hear that! Eldar is one of the 'counter-Squads' against the Kroot... their mobility can make something of the Kroot!
