Are you trying to say this is not supposed to be a water park?
I hope everyone is alright.
PS. How does one swing on a swing in water??

| @Drizzt - hope you and your neighbours are all ok - looks a bit wet over there! Thought you might like to see what I plan on including with my prisoner (not sure if I'm going to show you any more pics though)... 1st Draft (A couple of 'snapshots' will by clipped to the actual biography - at least that's the plan) Prisoners Name: Theseus 'Difference Engine' Grey Rank: Major (Stormtrooper) Previous Unit: 2nd Stokesian Air Assault Brigade (Special Ops) Biography...Theseus Grey was born on the planet Stokesia Prime in the Charybdis Sector, bordering the Damocles Gulf. He was the eldest son of two high ranking officials within the Administratum. When Theseus was 13 years old, the blue-skinned Tau came to Stokesia Prime. Through the next five years the Tau seduced the civilian leaders of Stokesia Prime, through peaceful trade and negotiation! ( a byword for the disgusting xeno filth, using their alien wiles to gain advantage). The civilian leadership grew fat on the corruption of the Tau and began to neglect the God Emperor and the Imperial Tithe, until they ceased completely. Fortunately, the commander of the Stokesian PDF General Ernald P Schwarzer ( an imperial guard veteran retired to the planet 15 years previously) was unconvinced by the xenos talk of the 'Greater Good' ( what utter xeno nonsense[/b[b]]!), believing it to be a xeno plot. The young Grey, now eighteen, joined the Stokesian PDF, against his parents wishes and preceded to distinguish himself in a series of 'black ops' against Tau forces ( Passed off as the work of criminals by the Civilian Government). It was then that the Damocles Gulf Crusade overtook the sector and the Tau began to show their true colours. By this time, Grey was a twenty eight year old stormtrooper veteran who had risen to the rank of Captain. He was promoted still further, becoming a Major upon joining the new 2nd Stokesian Imperial Guard Brigade. While Grey survived the crusade (unlike so many of his comrades), the battles were not without incident... He gained a new bionic lung and reinforced ribcage, due to a Vespid Stingwing on Baelur V, he lost half his face, along with an eye to a Kroot Warrior on Quar and finally his left leg was melted by a fusion blaster carried by a stealth suit, during the final stages of the campaign on Valks World (All parts replaced by Cnoren pattern bionic replacements/upgrades). It was during this campaign that Major Grey and his mixed team of specialists earned the title 'The Difference Engine', which also became synonymous with their leader. Difference - for their ability to spot and exploit a weakness in the enemy line, turning several seemingly hopeless battles. Engine - For the way the unit knitted so effectively, even though each individual was so radically different (and also a comment on the amount of metal and machine spirit, now making up Major Grey's body!). Following, the end of the Damocles Gulf Crusade, Theseus returned to Stokesia Prime to carry out the sacred duty of executioner to his traitor parents and younger brother, who had turned so far from the Emperors' light in supporting the Tau. A round of extensive juvenat treatment was followed by a rapid return to active duty (Psychological Examination Findings Supressed (Code 34Stoke2TDEG): Major Grey should never be returned to active duty, he shows a callous disregard for all human life and quite frankly has 'lost the plot'. Current whereabouts of Theseus Grey are officially unknown, however, indicators suggest enrolment with Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Achilles Cesare. Notes created by the order of Inquisitor Luciferous Nacht (Ordo Hereticus), through the cogitator spirit 'Sea of Tranquility' Please tell me what you think Cheers Laney | |

| ok this project is getting out of hand I've spent the last two hours trying to tweak the base with a surprise for my prisoner exchange.
The reciever knows what he is gettin but I don't have the figs to do it so what do I do but dip into my bitz and see what I can make...[I really thought I was going to be stretched on this] But I finally have converted up an Eldar Striking Scorpion Exarch helmet, and Scropion claw. Just need the Exarch torso [still in transit]
brain hurts now......
and the surprise should be interesting heopefully they will like it..... what surprise??? you'll just have to wait and see....
Cheers LGW | |

| I am running a bit behind, I had to go by paints as I lost all my paints. I purchased some last night and hope to start painting this weekend. I will have another "nice" surprise that goes with this model that hopefully will bring a smile to someone's face. | |

I vote that after the person receives the stuff, we put the nice surprise as part of TLRB.... it is AWESOME!

| They're pretty cruddy pics, so I apologize (I used my cell phone). Hope the mystery recipient will be able to take a battle snap. It's a Rogue Psyker I threw together in about an hour. Mostly Flaggellant bits (GREAT sprue), with a Marauder icon, and a bit of jewelry chain as tubing. (As I've said, "no tube = fantasy... tube = 40k!") | |

| Thanks for the positive comments everyone - base still needs a lot of work, but I'm almost there! @ Styrofoamking: Even with the pics he looks superb and I completely support the 40k tube thing! and the flagellant sprue is excellent too (bought one more than a year ago and its still providing me with great bits for conversion!). As always want more... Cheers Laney | |

| Styrofoamking: Ahhhh!!! I want him! Well, I want all the models... It was HARD not to cheat and sent MY address to everyone! HA! Great model man! For better pictures (before you paint him)... you see where the picture is in focus? Where the exacto knife and the plastic glue is? If you leave the phone where you had it to take the picture, put the model BACK there! Do an experiment. Put the model on the table, (you have GOOD lighting!), then put the cell phone where you think is good and mark it. Now, put a piece of table (to mark) where the model is and where you think the camera is good. Measure the distance. Put the model on its mark, and take a couple of pictures (so to have other pictures in case you move the cell and get motion blur) from its mark. Move the cellphone 3" away... take 2-3 pics. Move the cell 3" more and take 2-3 pictures. From which of the 3 distances the model was on focus? THAT is the distance that you need to use. You will know how far exactly it is, so from now on, when you take pics with your cell phone, you get good pics! | |

| WTF!?! I always looked at the pictures first, pass a mental inventory, then read the text. I saw the model on the 1st picture and though "That is a bright lamp he is using... he got lucky that he could capture some details on the gun." Then I saw the 2nd picture and I was puzzled... the shadow (yes, the REAL) one was in the wrong place. WTF!?!?! I read the text... YOU DID IT!!!! NMM! WOW! Amazing work! When you can trick the observer into thinking that the real world is wrong, you can put a notch in your brush! Congratulations... be VERY proud of yourself. You deserve it! Thanks for sharing. | |

| Nice, very nice - I love that vindicare model (I have the other one, though my paint job makes him look like he's wearing shiny blue spandex! ). And you can't beat good old ABC as a source of inspiration! Glad you posted and excellent work on the NMM (that technique just frightens me ) Cheers Laney | |
