| Last Friday I had the pleasure of playing a Stress-Test game with Da Bank. No matter how much we advance, it is always nice to return to the roots... kindda like comfort food! We missed Dozer, but we managed to pick up few things that we need to fix (like I forgot to add a WHOLE section to TLRB about Area Terrain!  ) Anyway, we decided to play a 700 points game of Catachans vs. Jenkala... as a bonus, I would use the Special Character Leon "The Groom" McClane (CDMDS) and Da Bank could use Matthias “Silent Death” Riel. We decided to keep the Scenario simple... Skirmish. I decided to bring my 'new' Catachan Squad... survivors of my last Campaign, The Eye Pokers, to test few strategies and tactics I had discussed with Dozer; my plan was to move and hide, get the Officer's in Close Combat and let the Jenkala taste the fury of the Catachan Fang, and bring Leon to dispatch any critical enemy! Da Bank's plan seemed to be to pick any exposed fighter with Mathias, and force the Catachans into exposed corridors... death by autogun fire! The Jenkala deployed first... sneaky dual deployment. Mathias was sitting pretty, high above ground!  The Catachans deployed deep in the jungle... Leon had sneaked in deep in enemy territory; he is in the building to left.  The Catachans move... unaware of the danger. Can you spot Mathias?  Try now.  Here is a view, from Mathias angle. Can't spot the victim?  How about now? HA! It was a super tricky shot. Nobody, except the legendary Mathias himself could had pulled off! It was 34" away... and he hit the poor medic on the head. Fortunately, Da Bank decided to play like Dozer... and he rolled a  This would be the theme of the night for Da Bank!  The Jenkala sent half of their force to out-flank the Catachans...  ... but Leon was already waiting for them!  The other part of the Jenkala's move in, searching for the kill.  The Catachans move slowly... but steadily, moving from dense vegetation to dense vegetation.  The Eye Pokers split in two forces...  ... but the Jenkala's move back, seeking the refuge of the building. The trap has sprung!  Mathias picks a second victim... another master shot that sends a poor Recruit to eat dirt (Stun).  The Officers spit at the dying man (Next time, stay down you bastard!), and push the rest of the Jungle fighters forward.  The other group of Catachans move quickly...  ... and lay down Hiding in the thickets. The Jenkala's were shock... on his scope, Mathias saw the enemy vanish in thin air. Auspex indicated they were there... but no human eye could see them.  The Jenkalas ordered their Alpha Group to move forward, they were going to close the nooze.  They moved in the ruined building, unknowingly walking into Leon's grasp.  Once close, Leon ordered the attack!  Everyone was ready... the Catachans tasted blood!  The Jenkala's were not surprised at all... they intercepted the attackers, and Leon (stupidly) fell from the 2nd floor. With Leon gone (OOA) a man with a flamer came in to finish the job. Catachan BBQ was being ordered!  The Catachans proved very thick skinned (Da Bank needed 4's to Wound... and he could not even roll 3's!) The Officers moved into Close Combat, and they proved effective in all fronts. The Officer's Catachan Fangs proved deadly, and the Ogryn served as a proto-human shield... he managed to walked in an pound Mathias back to Terra. In two turns they took 5 Jenkala's OOA. Sorry, no pics of the end... too bloody and we were censored by the =I= ! Victory for The Eye Pokers!We learned that humans can't jump... regardless of color. Also, that I am learning (  ) how to play Catachans... and that I rather BE LUCKY than good. Great game... Da Bank schooled me on several strategies... INTERCEPTION! Great overall game.

| Yea! It was fun. It was great at Mordheimer noted as it was cool to talk and see how the game is progressing and to see how it is put together in the rulebook. We found a few things that could be worder better and came upon a small jumping thing that had not been noticed before.
Yes, I rolled more ones than The Count on Sesame Street. LOL.
I can't wait to play again. Hopefully, I can gut those evil Catachans who are fallen from the Emperor! | |

| Great report - go urban fighters! - you'll get them next time! (Sorry Mordheimer  ) Loved the pics and the story behind them - I wish we'd got scenery like that to play in (it's getting better). I really like to see a squad pic of each unit (always looking for ideas for my own IG). Thanks Guys Laney  | |

| The Nose Pickers (Mordheimer's Eye Pokers) did battle with the KFC Kroot squad last night.
The Nose Pickers rued the day. Mordheimer should get some pics up in the next few days. | |

| They look like Rackham's AT-43 miniatures... I can't tell you the exact unit types, but they scale well with GW's range, come pre-painted, and are pretty affordable. (They cost about as much as GW figs, but are prepainted.) | |

| Use, I used AT43 Reb Block for and Urban Fighters.
AT43 humans models are 100% bitz convertable with 40K stuff.
I added in new weapons and arms to some of them.
I will try to post some pics but I thought I had in the pics section of this forum. | |

| The models are nice... specially if you are short in time. I do NOT like pre-painted models myself, but I would not mind one bit (get it... ONE BIT? Ahhh... better keep my day job!) playing with those models. | |

But for those need a quick squad and don't want to paint another 20 models this is certainly the way to go as I plan on having squad each. | |
