Just finished reading a thread on a local forum board regarding this product:
can you see something wrong with this list:
Quote :
US - NZ$138.74 UK - NZ$133.32 EU - NZ$149.78 NZ - NZ$220.00
these are what the current boxes of Dreadfleet are being sold for in each country.... WTF!!!!
come on its hard enough to get the bank manager to approve my hobbies let alone having a price tag like that on it. No wait my bad I'll go buy Dystopian instead "phew!!!"

The game looks beautiful, but I'll probably leave this one and wait for a re-launch of BloodBowl!

Yeah Blood Bowl, FOR SURE!!!! then maybe BFG, HeroQuest,
I'd watch for next year regarding Blood Bowl.... the amount of C&D they have sent out over the pass few years regarding BB, it wasn't for nothing so they must have something up their sleeves. Then again its hard to tell what GW are doing/planning considering they are run by a bunch of Lawyers and accountants [Gestapo and KGB]

It's Man 'O War in a new jacket. It's supposed to be a good game, but the pricetag is out of this world. Won't be buying it.

Haha well you might know me a bit better after our pm-ing and probably can guess how I reacted when I saw the game for the first time... "must have it!" Luckily nowadays I have become less impulsive with my buying behaviour so I've been surfing the web for more info about it. Then I thought "why not ask my DS friends about it?" and I was going to post a new topic but then I saw this one. I've also read some reviews, including this one: http://quirkworthy.com/2011/10/03/dreadfleet-review-first-game/ and I came to the conclusion that I'm probably not going to buy. Not even one as a trading item which I also planned to do but the guy from quirkworthy gave some pretty good reasons not to.

There was a small comma at the end of the url which broke it. Fixed it now! So read away!

Well, interesting review. It also made clear that this is probably not my type of game; its way to random. I want to be outplayed, not outlucked.

Ditto, for me to. seems far to random for my liking. Minis look nice but as for boat "parking" [eg the mat being to crowded]
its just another money maker for GW not my cup of tea.
LGW
I might get uncharted seas or Dystopian wars.

I call BS that there are not Ork ships in the release box.
Cause nothing says sea battles like a ship full of orcs on a skiff of orky construction!!!

I might buy a copy if they hang around long enough (having never played Man O War or anything like it, it might be a fun distraction - expensive though) - but Space Hulk this isn't.
As I said before they need to repackage Blood Bowl (with some decent minis - the Ork ones in the current box suck) - I want a proper moulded Astrogranite pitch - and not making it limited - and some cool star players in the box and more stuff I don't even know I need.
They then need to repackage either Necromunda or Mordheim (so that I can steal the buildings for Death Squads).

I would be really excited if they re-released Necromunda or Mordheim, especially if they came with some nice multi-piece plastic kits and some good, simple plastic scenery. I would definitely preorder!

OR they can revamp more codices, release 40k models and make money.
