| Here are my dwarf treasure hunters warband for Mordheim. I'm not sure why I started playing Dwarves (since my main Fantasy army was a Nurgle Chaos Warriors army), but have loved them ever since! The unarmored lunatic! For him, I tried to get the wood grain effect on the axes. You can kind of see it. Also gave him small tribal tattoos. I was not very happy with them but was not about to change them. I painted him for a speed painting competition against someone over on another forum (I got schooled). The whole band I know the picture is not that close up, but it's the best I have at the moment. The regular warriors have brettonian shields, and when stacked up make an awesome armored phalanx similar to: I'll try and get a picture of the unit at some point. Criticisms and comments welcome. Have at it! | |

| Very cool!
How do you handle the warband's low Initiative value in games? I've always found Dwarves to be at a disadvantage in Mordheim. | |

| Even as a Goblin Guy, I love the Dwarfs...you did a SPLENDID job bringing them to life. The Roman Shields are a nice touch; Harlequin at one time made a unit of Dwarfs in Roman costumes that I painted up for a friend...I'll see if I can get a photo for you. That aside, VERY WELL DONE! | |

| @Arachas: Honestly, shields and armor. Oh and helmets so they are rarely stunned. If I can survive the hurt, I find I can deal out even more hurt. As for the slayers... they are just too much fun. I never really care if they die I just enjoy throwing them at people.
@DeafNala: Thanks man! Your praise means a lot. I've been stalking a few of your threads so when you say they are very well done my head grows like 3x.
Cheers, | |

| Nice Dwarves!!! What did you proxy them as? IG? Ha! Love 'em! Excellent table top quality... maybe they are better, but I can't see the details. I'm just happy you shared them! | |

| V ERY COOL! That formation with the shields interlocked overhead is a testudo (turtle); it offers some protection from missile weapons. The black & silver shields have a striking appearance. VERY WELL DONE! | |
