| So I discovered that Plasma cannon Servitors are rare, so I started digging. I came up with enough to pull off 6 servitors, they just arent all currently armed appropriately yet. My Favorite on is the one on tracks. I wish I had more bits like that. | |

| The servitor models look like they've got great potential - very characterful. You're right to be happy with the guy on tracks (he adds that variable/specialist look you might expect from inquisitorial servitors).
So, is this more of a henchman list? I'm assuming you are running 2 squads fully loaded with plasma servitors and an inquisitor each.
Looking forward to further conversions.

| CONVERTIONS!!!! Ohhh... don't be stingy on the pic, bro! The guy on tracks looks scary enough to drop enemies dead without having to fire his weapon! MOAR!!!! | |

Laney:D I'm trying to pull off a servo skull spam list with maxed template weapons, but I think I'm overdoing the gimmick @ 1500 points so I need to rework it. | |

| My new concept list, probably not optimal but it has a cool theme. The bond between the Mechanicus and the Inquisitons is a bond like no other. When pronogstications reveal the locations of Relics from the Eye, a small contingent of the Purifiers will call upon ancient oaths between Mars and Titan. Mars will send the best and brightest of Techmagos, servitor heavy weapons, and an excavation team. A Techmarine will always act as a laison in these misssions, often the key component for coordination and cohesion of the Strikeforce. The influence of the Purifier Brotherhood is such that it's actions will often catch the eye of thier Ordos Masters, and they rarely deny aid to such an important task.

| I'm very ignorant (NO JOKES DOZER! ) ... are those Chimeras on the background? How does this list work? What I really like about your lists (and Dozer's... but don't tell him!) is that the model count is rather small, but they are very functional. So... what's the plan of attack for this list? | |

| I can't keep up!
Another cool mini-army. I think I have the spare bits to be able to build a similar army to this - I might try it after the blood angels are done!

So... what's the plan of attack for this list? In this list the Techmagos (Count as Jokaero) will hopefully end up boosting the range of all the guns in the squad by 12" and make them rending. This would make the squad's ideal range inside of 36", but with longer range capabilities if needed. The two Chimera's (with the squads sitting in front of them in the picture inside them) would be able to fire 5 guns out of the firing ports. The guns fired are usually going to be 2 Plasma Cannon, a Multi-Melta, & 2 x Multi-Melta or Lascannon. One squad gets a conversion beamer as well, although I am reconsidering this as I type. Most of the guns are fired at BS 3 though, but the servo-skulls should help the Plas Cans hit accurately, although in this list I only have six of them. Hopefuly the Chimeras are in fortified cover getting a 3+ save to incoming fire, but this won't always be possible. The Chimeras both armed with a pair of 36" range guns would be able to engage seperate targets than the units inside and deal with light armor or infantry. There is one psyback for additional fire power of this type and being twin linked it is highly accurate and a bit stronger because of psybolt ammo. Also the purifiers will be taking 4 S7 rending shots from the rhino when possible. This combined with the transport busting fire power of the dreadnoughts should give some very good ranged anti-tank, something not seen in GK armies very often. The stunties are pure anti-infantry firepower and very expendable. The purifiers are the ultimate generalists, they can fill almost any battlefeild role, and do it well. They will move to midfeild and be ready to defende the tanks or advance into the roughest fighting. The Flagellants with a techmarine get to benefit from the special grenades he carries which are blind & rad. The blind removes the bonus attack from enemies charging, while the rad nades automaticly lower a units toughness by 1 in assaults. So if the techmarine uses hammerhand (psychic power) to raise the units strength to 6 (base 5) the nades lower a MEQ from 4 to 3 allowing for wounding on 2's and instant death hits on a failed armor save. Given that the Flagellants have 4 attacks the 9 of them in this list, on an optimal charge, would throw 45 attacks usually hitting on 3's and wounding on 2's backed up by 2 power fist attacks. It's pretty disgusting, but it will usually be some fraction of that as they will often go at a later stage in combat to most of what they face. Oh, nevermind I just cheesed out and put psycotroke nades on the Techmarine. It's now a melee-lol fest of "YOU DO WHAT TO ME?!!?" Both Chimera squads are troops and can score, as is the one psyback since it has MSU troops (3 Warrior Acolytes), the flagellants, and the stunties. It's not an amazing list concept, it's not quite mobile enough even though it's all mechanized. It does however have a very Mechcanicus feel to it, which is what I am going for. The Chimeras are going to be a blazing, if not quite accurate, eye of Omnisahh judgement. Devastator squads eat your heart out.

| I can't go a night with out a photo it seems, while I may do some basing later I did prime everything up because it's cool and not humid tonight. Here is the new army. ^Notice I switched out a Xenos inquisitor for a Maelleus with a Daemon Blade to further bolster the backfeild and dropped the beamer for points. Those points are now invested in the holy trinity of hand-grenades for the techmarine. | |

| So here are the mechanicus in this new list. I got super lucky and found another set of tracks in my ork bits from like the early 90s run. So I built my second track servitor. I envision the servitors being heavy labor servitors reprogrammed and retrofitted for heavy combat. Thanks Kiwi! Oh, you all should send dozer a PM asking him about his 6ft Peacock. | |

| The Servitors and Magii are looking great. The metal sections look good. Will you 'wash' the gold with brown ink (devlan mud)? I think you should, then when dry highlight with gold. It will give it lots of depth. That, combined with the (ahem...) basing will bring all the models to par with the GKs.
Thanks for sharing! | |
