| My copy of this AWESOME game arrived today...
Been hanging out for it since November last year but due to world wide shortages [eg they sold out] only been able to get it now.
I'll add picks of the components as I unpack the box, and once I've read the rules I'll do an over view of the game and a Battle report of the first game we play...
I'll try and have the minis painted before we play the game so it looks good...
Keep watching..
LGW

| I'll try and get the pics loaded tonight.
The minis are pretty cool thought there has been one I wish I hadn't had to deal with it was a nightmare to get it glued together...
But I'll post them tonight once I get home from work.

feels sturdy to me not like the thin stuff we get for our weetbix boxes... The game looks great hoping to have a game during my next lot of days off and its timed its arrival bang on as it School holidays and the weather has been rather crappy of late so its going to be board game week. looking forward to it LGW | |

| Ah that's a good thing! I had a boardgame once which box was as sturdy as a warhammer regiment box. Sturdy as crap thus! I'm really curious to your opinion about this game! | |

| Well here are all of the minis glued up and as you can see ready for undercoating. Low points:* Finding one of the Flingers missing an arm. * Gluing together STARFIRE the bos what a #@!%$#%$#@%%!$ becareful with him. * having to deal with SLOTS and TABS. each piece has either a tab or a slot and its cut into a particular shape some times they haven't been cut quite right so it takes awhile to get them to fit. * the plastic is very slippery and the pieces would slip out of my Large sausage like fingers. High Points: * getting an email back from Soda Pop miniatures dam quick about my missing part being sent to me. * SLOT and TAB: for the most part these worked really well its when they didn't it was a nightmare. * the heroes were quick and easy to make as were the Ogres. * the Building guide was pretty easy to follow. And for the good part most didn't have to many pieces. An example: Overview:The putting together didn't take to long over all it was STARFIRE the boss that took about an hour to get together. I am happy with the minis and the Heroes look great. Will be a blast to paint them up. Will post pics as I get them painted Will do a dipping on these I think be a lot quicker and as its all about actually playing this game the kids want me to do it like NOW!!!!! Cheers LGW | |

| I worked on these last month off and on a bit. Working on the baddies has definetly confirmed my suspisions that I should not try and play any army scale games. Painting the same model reapeatly, even just 4 of them, grates on my nerves... Anyways a few pics of my paint jobs. Dwarf and Ironclad Rex the mini boss A few other heroes (Not finished but close) Basecoats on the rest of the models i've started - real rough at the moment.... Not sure if i'll get back to them, my wife tells me she'll try SDE!, but I think she's just humoring me. Plans to game fell through today, but they're still fun models to work on. -rhuntar | |

| Just want to chime in with my only gaming experience lately. I was back at my parents home during the holiday season for some family medical issues as well as a cousin's wedding. My luggage consisted of socks and t-shirts packed around my SDE box. I roped my younger brother and his boyfriend into playing a couple games with me. They're pretty nerdy, and they loved the game. Both games were 16-bit (Medium sized) games, with me as the consul both times. They got good treasure draws on the first game and started obliterating my troops, with the barbarian cranking through baddies so fast that I was never able to field the mini-boss. They killed the last spawing point the turn we hit 16-bit on the power gauge. The second game, however , I creamed them. We picked more confined map cards, and I did a better job of hiding the treasure chests in corners, and keeping them contained in the center of the map. By the time the Dragon came out, I had dozens of models on the board, they only had one relic card and all three heroes were already at half health. I had a ton of fun, they enjoyed learning the game and got the hang of it really quickly, but.... I might have started them down the dark path of mini gaming. They went back to university talking about how despite the high cost, they'd probably end up buying a copy, and Aaron even said "I think i'd like trying to paint those little guys"... Did I do a bad thing?? Whoops. It might even make them more likely to move to portland after they finish up school this year. It's potentially in their plans anyways, but the combination of meals when they come to visit and the chance to play with more of my nerdy toys might just push them over the edge. -rhuntar | |

| Those are actually pretty cool. If I hadn't seen them through this forum from one of you guys I probably wouldn't have had a look. I'm not a big fan of big eyes and gave these guys a wide berth on account of their creepy tentacle ideas. Did you pick the druid for yourself because of his headgear? I read before I looked at the photo and was thinking, :Driud? Druid? In all of roleplaying history whoever wanted to play a druid?" | |

| When I played D&D back when I was 13 [24 years ago AARRGGHHHHH NOOOOO!!!! spo long ago]
I played a Druid Fighter and he ROCKED!!!!
twin bone scimitars 2 and a half pages of spells [which pissed the Wizard off as he only had 1 page.] I had familiars galore [Wolf, Hawk, Panther.] I could heal, buff and de-buff as well though the heal was limited it did help on the rare occasion I had to use it [our healer was awesome]
over all the druid was cool and towards the end of the journey I was able to transform into different creatures, Wolf, werewolf, gain wings it rocked.
So over all the Druid or Druid-Fighter was cool only thing sucked was the armour could only be leather... but with some of the buffs and enchantments he ended up getting better save then the Paladin.
LGW

| Multiclass? LG that doesn't count ! You must have been one of the few people who had a socially well adjusted person for a DM when you were in your youth. Mine was a sadistic bastard who had a god complex and a penchant for player kills. A multiclass character was just a death warrant with frosting for him. All dead just the same but any of my old school 2/1 characters pushed up daisies like champs when he was loaded for sodomizing 4th level single class types. | |
