| As title, the last terrain I was working on. The table is 120x120cm (4'x4') but build on two 2'x4' pieces that can be recombined in many ways, or we can add a third to form a 40k regular table. Every floor is reinforced by small wood pieces on bottom, so it can hold models like Chaos metal Dreadnought (tested). The most of buildings can be placed everywhere on the table because are not glued, and have removable roof or "empty" walls, so you can reach and move the models inside. The 2nd image is a subsequent stage, almost finished. As you can see, a sewer is running on the border of the table, so models can go trought it and exit from 3 different places (love it) ^^ Cya | |

Looks really good =) Agreed! That's exactly what this board needs, more pics of terrain. Personally I love the Urban stuff, even the suburban stuff. Too bad we haven't gotten any more pictures of my favorite war torn suburban town. Know what I mean Komfritten? Heh, sorry for the bit of off topic. You are off to a great start Justagainst, I can't wait to see more, but I just couldn't resist poking Komfritten. Check out the links in his sig if you haven't already.

| I'm still laughing xD ... can't reply to everyone because it will take a lot, BTW: thanks for your "likes", AND, yes I'll post new pics because the table is completed and full primered now (grey). \o/ | |

| Heheheh... we should collectively BAN Komfritten from being able to see the picture on this thread!!! REVENGE SHOULD BE OURS!!! That way he can read the comments, critiques, ideas, compliments, etc and REMEMBER when we used to cheer him on! Hehehehe... I'm being dramatic (if you can't tell!) Seriously, you want AWESOME inspiration? Take a look at Komfritten's work: The Town of Novac (LINK) His work is VERY cool! He improved tons with few techniques he embraced from suggestions and blew the terrain (not literally... clowns ) to a whole new level. There are sidewalks, road strips... the gas station!!! My favorite still is the playground. You gotta see it! Hmmm... maybe YOU could inspire Komfritten. Anyhow, great work so far. If you have ideas that wish to share, there are lots of great hobbyists (don't look at me pal... I'm mediocre at best) that can give you hints. I would cheer you all the way up to the top! | |

| Great looking board - I really like the 3D nature of it - lots to make the games really interesting.
Keep up the good work!

| Hrmpf! Ok ok! Once me and the wife have moved, I'll get back to Novac again. Back on topic: I got back to the pictures, and the comment on the "3d" nature of the terrain are spot on! It looks like there will be severeal altitutes of combat oportunities - very cool indeed! Is it going to be dynamic or static? Can you change the setting? When do I get some more WiP's to get me going for my own projects? | |

| Wow, his project is good and inspired me a lot :3 ... sadly, my next work starting in a week or so is a SPACE HULK/IMPERIAL BASE internal modular table. Btw... here's the complete table with one light hand of grey primer. Still missing small details, before the real painting can start. This is the worst photo out of 10... I'll try to add some better pic this friday because (YES!) I convinced my friends to play an intro game and try Death Squads rules ^____^ - Komfritten wrote:

When do I get some more WiP's to get me going for my own projects? Everything on the table can be moved, the only part glued to the basement is the two big blocks that you can see on the bottom/right and upper/left, because they have the sewer running below them and I want some stability on this part. Also, we created another 4-5 different building so we change setting before each game, always leaving 4-5 buildings unused. I'm glad you like it ^^ ... but your project is more interesting for me. _________________ Control room (here you can see my concept of "opened walls".

| Looks great. Are you planning to hand paint on more details? Gluing on different signs really adds some variety quite quickly.
For playability purposes, having more walkways connecting the pieces above ground level really adds to the flow of the game. You will find that the different levels get more use if they have more access points.

I agree 100%. Also it removes the factor. Let's say your opponent hired the very expensive Special Character Mathias and he starts on the 3rd floor rooftop of a far away building with no easy access. How would you feel? He can shoot VERY good (THE best shooter with THE best weapon with THE best range) and you will not be able to have a chance to take him OOA. Sure, you could avoid him (that's what I do!)... but it should be a possibility for anyone to go insane and try to take him out in Close Combat (which I did.... hmmmm... yummy satisfaction!) In a not so extreme example... your opponent plays Eldar (fast and high I) so they can climb with minimal issue but you don't... you are better using the stairs. WHAT?!?! On the OTHER side of the building? Hmmmm...

Thanks m8 ... yes, this is the "structure", it miss a lot of small adds and almost full repainting to be complete BUT, we are ready to start testing payability on it now and we put more effort in it only if it match our expectations. Besides, we are planning another table atm, so we'll see how progress goes for both projects. For the next work I try to take more wip photo. For knowledge, me (and a friend) realized this one in 4 days, every day from dinner time to midnigh. Cya - Mordheimer wrote:

On the OTHER side of the building? Hmmmm... You are both absolutely right. We build it thinking of how real imperials would build a fortified sector. We don't focused much on playability, that's why we requires some playtest now to understand what must be changed )
