I just did I compared the prices of the New Zealand store to that of the U.K store and OMG!!!

If I buy from the U.K store I'd save over a $100NZD

its just plain crazy... and I bet I wouldn't be able to order from the U.K site? and I'd need to use the New Zealand one?

Anyone else notice this?

LGW

anyone from the U.K willing to order some stuff for me and then send it onto me?

I think people in your region, LGW, get royally screwed.With all honesty, I do not know why.

I understand that import taxes may anything seem more expensive (or even cheaper)... but when that is removed, the same things should cost the same. Prices of most GW models are 40% more expensive in Australia and New Zeland. Yet, models from most other manufacturers are priced equally in different parts of the world.

I don't buy products from companies in the UK not because the British Pound to US Dollar conversion makes things more expensive; it is not the manufacturer's fault that the Pound is stronger or weaker, same price for everyone. I don't buy stuff that is located in the UK because the shipping from the UK is a killer. Just Kidding

But with GW is weird... the product is already in the region. It was transported in bulk (read, WAY cheaper than a small airmail package) and STILL the product is prohibitively expensive. To make matters worse, GW cracked down on web stores that were Australia-Region friendly (UK prices with reasonable/cheap shipping).

Your best bet... beg Laney or another chap for help. You will get none from the big stores. Sad

Yeah, it is funny. I have heard it is a big issue in Australia.

In Canada at the moment the US dollar and Canadian dollar are the same value. Unfortunately all GW products (and many other products) are about 20% more expensive. The relative prices were set when the Canadian dollar was weaker and have not been adjusted in the past few years to represent the weaker US dollar. So for Dark Vengeance it is under $100 in the US and is $124 in Canada.

I just don't understand it. GW just seem to hate New Zealand and Australia (and Canada too it seems)! It's almost purposefully vindictive.

I think you are blocked from ordering from the UK website, but I might be able to help you out. PM me and we can work something out.

Cheers Laney

I've also had a looky and compared some prices...man! You are buttraped there! Shocked Really shocking how much the difference is!
It looks like the UK is indeed the best in price, though here in the Netherlands is not that bad either compared to them.
For example the Dark Vengeance box:

In UK => $120,46NZ
In NL => $122,62NZ
In NZ => $210,00NZ (WTF!?!)

So I'm also willing to help you out bro if it's still needed.
