Maelstrom Games D.O.A

I only heard this from a comment on the CMoN! site but it seems its on Daka, Warseer, and a few others

Maelstrom Games has gone belly up leaving alot of gamers out of $$$ [pre-orders, deposits, and actual orders]

but wait there seems to be another site open now that is called Eye of the Terror that looks and acts much like Maelstrom could these be connected???

something fishy is here and its not my Tuna sandwich.

anyone on here loose out to them?

So glad I didn't buy anything from them.... and the EoTT won't be getting any $$ from me either.

All I heard was Maelstrom was moving warehouses and clearing stock.

EDIT: Been reading on Google, it looks like you're right. Maelstrom seems to be dead and buried and a LOT of people duped.

Too bad it's come to this, Maelstrom used to be great. Now it looks like their big 'warehouse move' was a scam to cover up the fact that they were desperately clearing stock to get some cashflow.

Never ordered from them - but they seem to be behind some other dodgy dealings currently - I'd run a mile from anything even vaguely associated with them. Wayland are very reliable and always have good deals (at least they will grow off the back of this).

I wondered what was going on. I got an email from Maelstrom saying 75% off. I couldn't figure out how they could do that but now that explains it. Too bad.

The worst thing is that they kept emailing about being in the middle of a move. They were clearing stock, it turned out the move was taking more time etc. Seemed legit, because they kept you updated. Almost too elaborate to be a lie. And then you find out they HAVE been lying all this time.

I kind of get it from a business perspective (you want to save your business, so you start clearing stock), but if I'd been the owner I'd never be able to live with myself. Pure deception!
