| Looks sweet indeed! I haven't got much time at the moment to read all (at work now) so maybe you can tell me what's the deal with the armor? One can earn/buy armor and "clip" that onto the model? Or is it glued on? | |

| Very interesting and such rapid growth (am I missing something here) - I will watch this carefully and see what else adds on. Apart from the fact I am coming up to Christmas and I am unlikely to have the funds, the only issue I have with the game is the malformed female miniatures (and I thought chainmail bikinis were out of fashion!).
Having said that... the sculpting might even be better than the Sedition Wars examples.

| I went to bed last night and it was on $85k I wake up to find its on $149k and now as I type this it has reached $152,642
and its still DAY 1
why is this project so popular? how can the numbers still increase? I have no idea why. but dam I am on this journey.
I won't be adding in any of the extras only stuff that will add to the core rules or box set.
if you haven't already joined go take a look I swear it must have broken some Kickstarter records. [eg fastest 100k, most $$$ in one day?] would love to know if it has or not
LGW
as I post this we just hot 800 backers and at $153,375

| $163,205 at this point and I'm in - no extras though way too pricey (especially with the delivery costs). I look forward to seeing what goodies turn up over the next 45 days (and the next year!). This is one kickstarter taht had better not be late on delivery!

| yeah this is one game that needs to be released EARLY if later then well you'll have quite some explaining to do...
$164k and kicktraq has the upper amount at $3.8m... but I expect it to peak eventually it can't keep up this momentum or can it?
time will tell. still a freakin amazing start.

| Gatlag - there are enough bits to make a number of each level/armour type of model (I think this is where the model count will increase).
This whole kickstarter seems to be all about the quality of sculpts (those phoenix sculpts are simply amazing!)

| This kickstarter is getting very interesting. I'm in on the Survivor pledge (picked up an early Black Friday special)... Anyone else following this? The armour sets contain lots of bits that are compatible with all the survivor models. I dislike the excessive focus on pin-ups in the extras, but the other elements of the game seem very cool (the game mechanics seem pretty unique too). | |

| I was doing this kickstarter but real life cut into it and I sort of got intimidated by the quality of the minis.
And the whining of the Pin-up police saying do we need to have large breasted women blah blah etc etc.
You do get alot for your money... an awesome project but one that I do not loose sleep over no longer being part of.

Do I have to have a separate model for each armour type? Or can I click it on? The latter would be the nicest because else you'll have to paint and possess 6 models of each character!?! - Lord GreyWolf wrote:

nope not hard on myself just realistic acknowledgement of my lack of painting skills. Some minis I will never try and others I have no issues with giving it a crack. its all for the best at least I won't be disappointed when I screw up an expensive mini with my skills. LGW

| Ah well you can also see it this way: When the mini is way awesome and the paintjob is so so then at least you have an above average mini! | |

| Any how I had to pull all my funds back had to deal with some Real life pre-xmas bills that showed up...
once those have been dealt to I am going to be saving for the Mongoose Publishing Rogue Trooper Kickstarter that is coming end of January.
that one I want to get into big time.

| I've pulled out at the last minute. The deal for this was great, but way too rich to hit the 'sweet spot' in the end $300. Doesn't need my funding at this rate anyway.
I'm still in for Through the Breach, which looks very interesting, but has had some 'issues'.

Laney Talked about this a bit on another forum, I just can't get over the over the top pin up art/minis, most are add-ons but if that's the art/sculpt style in the Kickstarter I'd assume there will be more in the box set or future expansions. Game idea seems top notch though, just too pricey and not my preferred art style. (Not to mention I think that would be the end of my gaming if my wife/kids saw that art on our table) Through the Breach is definitely up my alley, I toyed with the idea of buying some Mallifaux minis for a while. Why has this not been linked before? For shame! (note I am actually too lazy to link it myself and have no idea how to set up the follower graph people started adding)

| Agreed on the pin-ups - given the quality of the models in terms of sculpts I think they could show a little more variety. At least the pin-ups aren't canon, however the wide range of male genitalia (the Lion God's tail and the Sunstalker - hidden by the picture) are! Anyway I'll link the Through the Breach kickstarter - it had a nasty stall in the middle, but seems to be back on track now... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1334239018/through-the-breach-a-malifaux-roleplaying-game Laney | |
