| Well my old friend & patron, Dr J(ustin Sipla) has succumbed to the lure(?) of 40K, AND asked me to do some terrain for his gaming group. Dr. J & the Siplans are campaigning on a Desert/Mad Max-style World. SO the first batch of thingies are Southwestern rock pillars: There seems to be an Ork Infestation here (for size comparison): Dwellings, ruins, fuel tanks, & slapped together fortifications are all on the agenda. Comments as always would be welcome.

| The latest addition to Dr. J's Desert World are done, AND here is the disturbing evidence: The next part will be Man(?) Made Thingies: intact & ruined buildings, storage tanks, & such. Until then your comments & critiques would be most welcome...mostly. | |

| Looking good Deaf. If it where me i might add some brush grass or twigs around the base, ledges and top of the stuff to make it look more realistic. Maybe some loose type dirt of a similar color on the ledges and top. I dunno how far into that stuff you get though. | |

| Thank, Dyturbed. Personally I'd go with some sagebrush, but Dr. J wants it devoid of flora & fauna. Here's the last of The Rocks...for now: Now that that is wrapped up, literally, I'll be doing some ruins, debris, & stuff like that. | |

| Thanks, Gatlag. I started working on the man-made stuff a couple of days ago. The rocks are all packed up awaiting word from Dr. J that he's back from his London trip. | |

| Nice! The one on the right, the tank, is my favorite. I like the little shed near it. | |

| Thanks, Gatlag. The tank on the right is a soda can with an Armor Cast top & a custom base. | |

| Ah I remember those Armorcast thingies to turn your daily products into cool pieces of terrain. Nice to see one in action "for real" now. | |

| Thanks, Gatlag. I used a couple of the Armor Cast soda can tanks with the Hooligan's Hooch Mushroom distillery in the Shanty Town also. Once I got over the intimidation factor, I found they were pretty pleasant to paint. | |

| Thanks, Andy. Glad you like the stuff. The next time you'll see them they will be all painted up. | |

| AND the first three...possibly the last three...bunkers are done... OH BABY! (the standard reaction to the completion of a commission piece otherwise known as "that release from Hell feeling). SO here are some almost adequate photos of the pieces: The obligatory overhead shot: ...from the side: ...the somewhat worse for wear bunker: ...the smallest bunker: ... AND the last & largest: There you have it. The two tanks & shed will be next; then off they go to the Bleak, Dark World that is 40K Iowa... insert a blood curdling scream here. Once the package is sent & until I here what Himself wants next, I'm free to do whatever I want...within the constraints of my present physical condition that is. Your kind comments, as always, would be most welcome. | |

| Thanks for the reply, Gatlag. That's pretty much the effect I was hoping for with the sludge stuff. | |

| Thanks, Gatlag! Dr. J has started adding Nurgle Followers to his Chaos Space Marines; SO he feel that oozy, rusting terrain pieces are in order. That's okay with moi; I like doing ooze...ooze is GOOD! | |
