| Ohhh... Welcome to Death Squads! Your Sword Brethren are gorgeous! Any more angles? Feel free to stop by the Welcome Mat and introduce yourself. We are a friendly bunch!
Edit: I have moved this to the 40k Section

| Very nice work. I like the way you've taken what is usually a paint scheme for quickly getting an army in the field fast and spent time on the highlighting (very sharp) and additional detail (the Mark 6 helmet symbol, the writing, the cloth on the sword brethren, the gold on the armour etc).
Plus, that Chaplain is probably my favourite 40k model.
Most of the templar armies I've seen in the UK are sprayed black, drybrushed battlegrey, with a touch of white and red - done.
Well done! (I'd like to see more)

| I like the bent lightning claw. And the rest of the pictures. The bent lightning claw makes me think he has really gotten that claw stuck into something. Is that dwarf from the the fantasy 7th edition box set? Thanks for posting. I'll look forward to seeing your future squads! | |

| Unlike what most people think, painting black WELL is one of the hardest things to do. Black 'eats' the light (thus is black.. duh!) but have some highlight. You have done an EXCELLENT job!

| Thanks for the positive views. I painted all of these guys some time ago (still have 2 Sword Brethren to paint... one day). Here are my terminators (I made them shooty because at the time my army was 'only' assault. I have since them added a second dread, 2 assault bikes, an LRC, an LR and some shooty marines). The 'sergeant' (since I don't technically get one) The whole squad My dread and LRC Comments and criticism welcome. Have at it! *EDIT* I never really got into drilling out the barrels of the guns. Had some bad mishaps, so I now never do it as a rule. | |

| I was going to comment on suggesting drilling out the barrels, which I only shortly started doing myself, but I saw you already mentioned that.
What are you using to drill, and what went wrong?
Ace paint job BTW. | |

| I was using a tiny hand drill I bought at my local hobby store. What I found was it had the tendency to pull out the bits axially as I was drilling as often as it tried to push them radially.
This would cause the end of the barrel to flair out and crack. Was not worth the risk or effort.
That's my two cents. | |

| Thanks for the nice words! Here are my assault marines. I've unfortunately never had great luck with them, but they are a whole lot of fun to use. And a view of my 2 assault bikes (1 is a converted normal marine bike with the side made from plastic board and a wheel... can you tell which one?) Comments and criticisms welcome. Have at it! | |

| Looking sweet! It's hard to see if you've done it or not but I'd drill out the nozzles of your guns. Makes them looking even better! | |
