| You've really tooled these guys up. While that is one approach, I've found that numbers do matter. I would drop all the "shiny" stuff, like flashbangs, hot shot power packs, bio-scanners and all that and buy some recruits (even bare with just an autogun). They can soak up shots, provide cover fire and if one dies, oh well. Losing officers is much worse.
I fear this squad will get swamped easily with their low numbers! | |

| Nice start. Few questions... 1) What Regional Platoon do they belong to? Cadians? Catachans? 2) Maximize your Officers... increases your post-game rewards. 3) Catachan Fangs are Catachan Only items. The error was spotted some time ago and it is in one of the threads. Fixed on v0.6.0. 5) Your HWS with Grenade Launcher needs AMMO! And drop his Pistol... waste. 6) While does NOT forbids or punish the player for not following the intend of the game, it does not rewards for it either. Death Squads is about the VERY begging of a group of soldiers... the VERY first moment that they will become Legends. The initial Squad will feel underpowered, because they are NOBODY... they are crap. After some time goes by, XP and gear will transform the Squad into an OK force... then a good one.. then legendary. If you decide to start with a small, but well equipped, force... you will see the bad end of the 40k Universe. IG are about massive numbers... and rewards you for it. Sure, you can start the game with 2 guys is you want... but no matter what you do, it will hurt. Look at all the 'targets' you are giving your opponent. No matter who you send in front, he is a juicy one to take down. Some of the equipment you can't take full advantage of. For example... the difference between an autogun and a lasgun... the lasgun is AP 6 and allows Hotshot Power Packs (which are dangerous by themselves!) Most of your opponents will have either Armor 5+ or no Armor... you are sinking 15 credits per combo in something you won't use to the max at first. I would say that you could 'find' around 40 credits on redundant gear. Someone with 12 guys armed with auto-weapons will put the hurt on your guys, just by cheer volume of shots. Suggest you play couple basic games, before committing to the Squad. KEEP US POSTED! | |

| Cool squad, but like the other guys said - a bit too small. This is what the squad will look like (but bigger) ten or so games down the line (with all the cool stuff and even cooler skills), plus they'll have a unique storyline developed from their battles. My new squad has only one game under its belt so far and already an eldar hating, fun fluff is forming around them. On a playing note - max out on officers - that extra lieutenant will help you greatly in the post game sequence, finishing extra E.R and maxing out on your chances of finding something fun. Most of all enjoy! Laney | |

| OK. Let me see what your INSANE mind has created. hehehe... as a suggestion, if you change the color of what you changed, it could make it easier to figure what you did different. OK... so you decided on Jenkala's Urban Fighters? COOL! FYI... for v0.6.0 the setting of Traps is on every game... BEFORE (in v0.5.1b) it was only if you deployed 1st (I think)... we felt that this rule limited the Jenkala's effectiveness to half of the games (lame)... now, you get more. On that subject, you should invest in a Demolition Expert Hired Gun... those are LOTS of mines! BOOM! I think that the strategy is to poison a section of the board with mines, setup the sharp-shooters and enjoy the bloodshed! Captain (Vicious): What is your Rare weapons? Lieutenant (Hotshot): Lieutenant (Hush): I would suggest a firearm... at least an autogun. Sergeant (Grunt): Sergeant (Twitch): I would suggest an autogun best. Hvy Wpn Spl (Dozer): HAHAHAH!!!! He will die VERY quickly... just because he is DOZER!!! You need more GRENADES!!! I would not invest in such heavy Armor... if he is not in front, people can't (won't) shoot at him. Hvy Wpn Spl (Spazz): I would not invest in such heavy Armor... if he is not in front, people can't (won't) shoot at him. Field Medic (Doc): An autopistol could help. Combat Knife Infantrymen: I would invest in autoguns (rather than autopistols) so they can serve as support. Remember, you may want to try and funnel the enemy towards a corridor, so long range fire support is helpful. Well... those are my suggestions. You may be planing to do something different... you seem like the 'crazy' player type who has the strategies that make everyone go WTF, laugh at you... then cry when you beat them to a pulp! Heheheh... | |

| It's funny but that's exactly what I do. I played my first game of 40K and got creamed. It was horrible. The very next game I had drop pods, jump infantry, land speeders etc. I Deepstriked EVERYTHING and decimated the opposition. From that point on I won every game I played. I retired that army and moved onto Fantasy. I ran the brand new Woodelves. Everyone who ran them maxed out on the treefolk. I, on the other hand, had nothing but skirmishing archers. No close combat of any sort. They laughed, pointed, and mocked. Then cried after I shot them from every angle. Good times. So yeah...I'm pretty sure I'm gonna frustrate anyone I come across on the battlefield. Thanks for the suggestions & I look forward to playing. | |
