| The name Aylana is very likely an Hebrew variant of the name Ayla (One who lives near a oak tree) or a cognate of the Greek Helenē (light, torch, bright).

| Thanks! The name is indeed derived Ayla. I thought that was a beautyful name and my wife said we should make it into Aylana. Later on we discovered that it already was an existing name but a very rare one (especially in The Netherlands). I don't have the life experience you have DeafNala, but it indeed already feels like it's the best thing! And here as promised a picture:
