| Hi guys, Here is my first try on a Kroot Squad List. It's a cc orientated list, because I want to make good use of the vicious charge rule. A question: are those smoke gas grenades useful? I thought they maybe useful against shooty squads which I will face on the battlefield (IG shooty squad for example). Feedback is appreciated.

| Is the Shaper's Lucky Charm his ceremonial item?
And I dunno about the smoke grenades. If you're just filling extra space, they're OK starting out. But if you can spend the money to upgrade something else (maybe armor?), I would do that, instead. Grenades are things you can pick up later in the game. Then again, they might be useful, as you indicated. *shrugs*

| I think the list will work... and the Smoke Grenades for the Head Hunter are actually a GREAT idea. I mean... this is the guy you NEED to get in Close Combat. As a Matter of fact, I would shy away from a Kroot Rifle for him (for the time being) and go for the Chain and Club combo... Dozer tested it and SCHOOLED us! It was BAD! We could not Parry his attacks... and with S 5 on a Charge, he takes Space Marines DOWN! His 'free' Acid Spit attack is VERY nice... | |

| Morhdheimer, I like your thinking!
Smoke Grenades do work if thrown properly, but they are somewhat unpredictable due to dice rolling changes each round.

| lol! Smoke Grenades are not useless, one got me in cc.. Plus they add diversity to the table. But don't think a smokescreen is a life saver. Thats a lesson I learned the hard way. Shame on me!
The club + chain advise was real nice, did some dirty damage.

| @Arachas: They sure do. On an sidenote... whats the best way for a cc orientated list (as above) to get close to a shooty squad, without heavy losses (except for cannonfodder)? Move... Hide! ... Move... HIDE! ... Move... and Hide again! ... and prowl ...? | |

| Yes! Also... that is what the Hounds are for! Send the Hounds first (Move & Hide) and when relatively close, unleash them! The suckers are fast... so they would provide good entertainment for your guests, before the main course! | |

Hey! They will be coming out soon. We have some people play testing.
If you have a regular playing group, post up some pics and battle reports and you could be considered to help play test items.

Why so? About chain - agree, but u still can parry club attacks. Or I get u wrong.

| Bang for the Buck... it is ULTRA cheap and effective. Chain on the primary hand (you can't Parry) and a non-penalty weapon on 2nd hand (sure you can Parry, but it is so cheap!!!) | |
