| Man, that is nice. What do you use to make those tubes leading from the gun? | |

| I just had a VERY enjoyable stroll through you're thread. Even as a non 40K type, I found your work inspiring. You've produce some HIGHLY IMAGINATIVE, & WONDERFULLY CREATIVE pieces. EXTREMELY WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks Guys, It always helps to be encouraged with feedback! Arachas: I use some plastic piping that I pick up from a local hobby store, which sells railway (hornby) and airfix type kits. It was a chance find that has served me with pipes for about two years so far! It came in a mixed pack of sizes, but this one is perfect. An easier to access alternative might be some thin electrical wiring (with the copper stripped out) - I used that when I didn't have this stuff. It is easyish to connect doesn't look too bulky (I wanted a lighter, less brutal effect than my captain's plasma pistol). I imagine McClane as very Sly Marbo, rather than the 'cocky' catachan. Deafnala: Thanks - your comments tell me that I've achieved my aim - I like producing minis that are a not completely run of the mill. I'm loving my new captain at the minute (even unpainted) - but Theseus Grey Mark2 (the early years) is my next to finish. If I get time I'll put together a quick hell pistol/gun/sniper rifle tutorial. Theseus is sporting an anti-materiel rifle (Hellshot) - same rules as the triplex. Cheers Laney | |

| WOW... question... is that 'rope' made out of 'GUTS' from the Zombie sprues?!? You are INSANE!!! That take The Groom to a new level of kick-ass... - Leon 'The Groom' McClane wrote:

Hehehhe... An observation, if I may... I beleive that the right arm is a bionic arm. I know you can do amazing things with the paint, but maybe you want to do some of the green-stuff voodoo that you do so well. | |

| I thought it was rope! (It came with a whole load of stuff in a bits box from ebay) - I'll have to paint it appropriately! I must have missed the bionic arm bit - don't know how - I'll see what I can do! Cheers Laney | |

| Laney... I'm officially depressed. I don't know what to say... would you adopt me? I maybe 37, but I would cook and clean... as long as I get to see (but not hold!) your models. WOW! I'm about to loose my English again! THE LEVEL OF DETAIL... exquisite! Forget the camo (besides that IS brutally good) or the cables (with seem to be pulsating with energy... I swear I can hear them buzzing!) or the Krak Grenades (LOVED the radioactive warning labels) or the tattoos ( " Mabel" ... simply amazing!) or the bionic arm (sickening scratch built!). What got me what the freaking red line on the pants! Yes! Why? It makes the clothes look real... it takes Leon to a new level. Sorry... but I just removed Leon from my 'to-do' list. I rather say "I know the real Leon McClain model is somewhere in England. Wish I could hold him!" than hating whatever I could do because "This shit is NOTHING compared to the real Leon McClain model somewhere in England. Wish I could hold him!" HAHAHA! I feel small and pathetic... hahaha... more than usual, I mean! I want to BUY that model! Seriously, take pictures of him on a white background... I will put him on TLRB. AGAIN... I salute a true Master Artist. 'nuf said. | |

| Glad you like him! I tried to put as much 'stuff' on him as I could think of. It did make me a little bit sad to read you didn't want to paint your own version of 'The Groom' though. I am pretty pleased with the officers that I've made so far though and I have something special planned for my lads got talent trooper (heavy weapon specialist - flamer) - coming soon. | Don't worry... I will get over my dissolution of not having a cool model like yours... maybe I need to get the right model to start the project. I may use this as my LEON "THE GROOM" MCCLANE (CDMDS) model! PS: Wonder how he would look with Mabel’s Revenge? | |
