| Cool theme, nice colour scheme. This is a great Blood Bowl team - highly original. Are you playing on astrogranite? (the grey bases are a nice idea but might look out of place on the grass pitches. Maybe nice green static grass around the edges with withered dry/brown static grass near their feet. If you are going for astrogranite a little greenstuff to texture it would look cool (and fill those little gaps in the slotta bases). Cheers Laney | |

Cheers Laney The grey bases is just stage 1 will add another coat of burnt umber then give it a wash of devlan mud, then will add in some "grass" and maybe some mud effect or even try some kind of slime effect. just getting the minis done then will work the bases. LGW

Yeah my wife makes key rings and bracelets so she has a great stash of bling for me to raid for my hobbies. I am getting some Necron Scarabs and trying to find some smaller keys to go into. Will use them for some kind of counters or scenery. Will be working on the rest of the stuff later in the week hopefully when the stuff arrives. Cheers LGW

| I don't think my first post gave enough painting credit - the teeth and gums on that big bear + the overall look is superb. The tabletop view shows how effectively they all work together (love the idea with the scarabs too - a necron version of these guys would be very cool). Cheers Laney | |

Cheers Laney Thx Laney means alot coming from such an amazing artist like yourself. yeah I am going to make the "Necron" version for my Boy just got to figure out what to use from them. So he can have a Robot team.[will use Orc stats with them.] So I'd need a Necron fig to represent: 4x Black Orcs 4x Orc Blitzer 4x Orc Linemen 1x Orc Thrower 2x Gobbos 1x Troll any ideas? Cheers LGW

| With the new necron plastics coming out next month there will be loads of options available (some nice bulky robots to model). Maybe - a deathmark for the thrower and head swap the others to make the blitzers, immortals or lychguard for black orks, regular necron warriors for linemen. The gobbos and the troll might be more problematic - you could use scarabs for gobbos, but I think you need a cool walking robot for the troll - maybe look at other companies for something you can necron. Another ace theme! Laney | |

| I think the roll counters are fine! Once you base them, they will be perfect. Your basing idea seems very fitting. Just make sure you close the gaps on the bases. The paint on the Rotters, although simplistic is right on! It makes the team cohesive (you want that on a team!) I don't think you need to do anything else to them. The models don't have much detail anyway. I think the Pestibears still need work. Not much... just that you need to paint the teeth! You definitely NAILED it on the Big Ted Bear of Nurgle (big bear)... he looks scary!!! Since that model is so big, it draws attention... and since the teeth are so well done, it raises the bar. You see "little bears" and you immediately want to look at them. No teeth? Make some nice evil dentures for them... would bring all the bears to the same point as the big one... MEAN AND SCARY! The little key is GREAT! I missed that... and I laughed when I saw it. GREAT JOB!!! Can't wait to see them finish. You are so close! Thanks for sharing. | |

| Thx
The Pestibears are getting worked on tonight after work. I did some more work on their teeth last night. But spent my time converting the last two bears into Cheer leaders. I am pretty happy with the way they both came out. Will post pics later on once I've slapped on some paint I am sure you'll love them both.
One in particular I am really happy with I was thinking yesterday at work about what I am missing for the "Theme" and it hit me there was one character that was missing. I had a rough idea how I wanted him to look and well you will see soon enough.....
I may give the rotters a thin downed wash of brown ink just to blend the dry brushing. the Pestibears will have some more dry brushing done and will also fix up the missed areas [eg white dots ]
This team has been fun a real blast will post pics of my daughter's animal theme soon just waiting on the farm animals to arrive. and then i'll start the lads Robot team.
Cheers LGW

They Love the team and all of my Bizarre ideas. I was at work the other day and was thinking the team is missing some thing. I have Father Nurgle, Some evil looking plague Elves, what else am I needing and it struck me how could I forget him: Rude-dolph the Red nose Pestibear and his best buddy Ding-Aling. They are both at the undercoat stages but I really wanted to show you where the team is heading. Last night got the kids in bed and the wife went out with some play center meeting [really an excuse for a bunch of mums to get together and open up bottles of red wine.] Any how I got my bitz box out and started to dive through the meager offerings and this is what my brain came up with: My Turn Marker for my Team the "Copper Throne" the painting looks horrendous but like I said its at that messy undercoat stages..... the copper colour was my wife's idea.... will see how it goes after I fixed up the colors. Oh and I made these as a Bribe inducement and Bloodwieser Babe [Eg the Barrel still working out what kind of Babe Nurgle would have.] Cheers LGW

| I was thinking of painting it gold and then having a "Golden Throne" it may still end up that way with some gold highlighting.....
it was a fun conversion and my wife loves it "A gothic toilet, way cool"
both of my kids love it..... it was much like my "Private Poo" I made for my Orc squad [a grot hiding in a toilet]
Cheers LGW | |

| Wow - you've been busy! Your ideas are pretty insane, but cool (ace mix of humour and rot - I need to try some of that ) Really looking forward to seeing how the plague dolls will come out - will you paint or pen the stitching? Laney | |

| not sure about the stitching.... thinking I may try adding some zippers on them. As the chains I am getting with some attachment would look like zippers. But If I do some stitches I will use some green stuff and cut up some staples as the stitches.
Will decide once I get a better understanding of the miniatures size.... hoping they get here soon I don't have much time left.

| The dolls are standard 28mm (slightly chunky though) minis. I have a few that I had when I went though a 'wanting to sculpt my own minis' phase. They are impossible (IMO) to repose though, so I dropped them in favour of the posable version with just just basic muscles only. I did two blood bowl minis (human thrower and blitzer) before I got bored and tried something else.
The dolls are going to be ace.
