PostSubject: Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs   Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs I_icon_minitimeThu Feb 02, 2012 3:02 pm

Well decided I am going to have a break from painting my Warmachine and pulled out my 6mm WWII tanks, planes, transports and infantry.

Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007600

My painting list is:

Stuka Ju87 x3 [Fins]
He129 x3 [Germans]
IL2 x3 [Soviets]

Tiger I x2
Panzer IVH x5
Sd Kfz 251 x6
Schwimmawagen x4
Kubelwagen x3
Sd Kfz15 x2
Sd Kfz 7 x3
Sd Kfz 250 x2
Sd Kfz 250 [2cm] x2
Kfz 70 Truck x 3
Sd Kfz 222 x2
Sd Kfz 223 x1
RSO tracktors x4
Opel Blitz Truck x2

T-26 x1
T-34/75 x4
T-34/85+Tank riders x9
KV-1e x2
IS-2 x3
SU-152 x 1
SU160 ZSU MC17 MGMC [AA truck] x3
SU748 Transport x6

I think that is all of the current undercoated items I may have missed some. On top of that I have still to undercoat all my
Artillery, AT guns, and swags of Soviet, and German infantry.

My goal is to be able to field a large force of Germans, Soviets and Finns.

I might update this as I go just depends on how much time I give it. [Painting up my Warmachine is really important but when all you've been painting
is BLUE you start aching to paint something else.]

Cheers

you have no idea.

But very easy to paint....

Germans:
undercoat white
paint grey
ink black
base
flock
varnish

done

same with the Soviets. And the tanks and planes are pretty much the same as well.

Will post more pics soon...

here is the start of my Mico-FoW Finns

HQ: T-34/85, T-26
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007700z

Platoon 1: T-34/76
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007695

Platoon 2: T-34/85
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007694m

Platoon 3: KV-1
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007699

AA Guns: Anti III [Using Ostwinds since no Anti AA in 6mm]
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007693e

Divisional Support:
Assault Gun Company: StuG III G's
Having a Break: Painting 6mm WWII Figs 1007701h

Still got to finish the HQ tree, [its trunk and dry brush the leaves]
The StuG platoon is waiting on its StuH42, And also need to add some camoflague to the 2nd KV-1 and the T-34's.

Still painting up the Following:

2x Jaakri Platoons [+Warrior]
Heavy Artillery battery
Anti Tank gun Platoon [Pak 40's +Warrior]
ISU-152 recovery vehicle [which I was able to convert from a spare 152]
Bofors 40mm AA platoon.

Once they are done its onto finishing my Germans and then Soviets.

All up I'll be able to make 3,000pt Micro-Flames of War armies for all three.

Will post more as I get them done. I am a very average painter and aim more for table top then any real effects.

Cheers

This look REALLY good. Right technique for the medium. The 6mm models are so tiny that glazing and inking are the way to go... and those techniques you dominate. They look fantastic!

TINY TANKS... POST MOAR!!!
