Ohhh... welcome to the forums! Feel free to introduce yourself on the Welcome Mat so we get to know you. Although we already know you can build models, we would like to know about you.

| The legs and torsos are Chaos Marauders.
The arms are Catachan and took a bit of greenstuffing at the shoulder to get them to fit. The Chaos Marauder torsos weren't meant to accomodate guns.
The heads are a mix of Chaos Marauders, Chaos Marauder Horsemen, and MaxMini Ferals as well as a couple of Catachans.
The shoulder pads are 40K Ork and Chaos Marauder (and cover up the greenstuff work on the shoulders quite nicely).
The knives/swords are 40K Ork though some of them have sheathed swords from Space Marine Scout Bikers strapped to their backs.
The guns are a mix of MaxMini Post Apocalypse Guns, Necromunda Shotguns, and GorkaMorka Grot weapons.
The "heavy stubber" is a Big Shoota from the 40K Ork Trukk while the rocket launcher is from Kromlech's OW2 British Weapons pack. The flamethrower is from a 40K Ork Loota/Burna and the grenade launcher... I honestly don't remember exactly where that came from. I think maybe its a Necromunda piece.

| Ace looking models - excellent kitbashing, because they don't looked kitbashed at all!

By the way I used to live in Federalway WA, lived there for 20 years! Now I live here in Sunny AZ, But not much 40K action around here though!

| Very cool. They remind me of goliaths. Great use of different bits. | |

| Indeed some kick arse conversions! - Narcissus wrote:

I was thinking the same thing, those goliaths were pretty cool models. A bit static perhaps but nice conversion material. Hmmm I should have some somewhere...

| Thanks for the comments folks. Kitbashing is probably my favorite part of the hobby and this has been my most successful project thus far. Here's a couple more that I just finished. I really need to get off my duff and get these painted. -An Animal Handler. I have a trio of OLD metal Chaos War Dogs to accompany him. -Hopefully this next one doesn't break any forum rules or offend anyone. The gesturing hand is from Avatars of War's "Dwarf Berzerkers Regiment" boxed set. When I saw it, I just HAD to put it on a Marauder. Funny that you should mention Goliaths as Necromunda is basically what got me started in the hobby. In fact, I think that might even be a plastic Goliath pistol that the Animal Handler is holding. | |
