Space Marine by THQ

I recently purchased this from steam with all the DLC for 14.95 during the summer sale, it might still be on sale for all I know.
So far I have had a blast playing the game. It flows so much better than about any other 1st person shooter I have played.
Anyhoo just wanted to see if anyone else had it and wanted to friend and play a few games.

Really nobody? I'm shocked.

sorry, I have not. It looks good. I used to play on Steam all the time a long time ago.

three things about this:

1. its a First person Shooting game = I SUCK @ FPS

2. Its About SPACEMARINES

3. My Laptop most likely won't RUN it.

I was SO close to buying this. In the end I bought so many other games (that I may never get to play) that I couldn't follow through. I had heard it gets repetitive in single player, so if that's true I'd want it for multiplayer which I just don't have time for.

I did however pick up the Dawn of War bundle. Dawn of War + all expansions, and Dawn of War 2 + all expansions + all DLC for $29.99. Plus I finally managed to grab my pre-order of Torchlight 2, Borderlands GOTY, and Orcs Must Die + the DLC.

Must have missed this post.

I play it once in a while when I feel like kicking some Ork ass. But I hate multiplayer games. I just can't stand the 12 year old noobhunters that goes 'lol' all the time.

It's a neat game, but I wish it was Dawn of War 3... I play the multiplayer from time to time. My steam name is the same as here.

I just bought it for Xbox 360 the other day. The single player seems fairly simple and cheesy so far.

I have totally reversed my opinion it is a great game. The Space Marines are still a little cheesy but combat is fun and exciting. I like how the orks mob together but are vulnerable to grenades and explosive weapons. It draws from a lot of other games with the Gears of War style dive rolls and reloading as well as Halo with the overcharged pistols and venting instead of reloading.

I wish you could take cover a bit better which would make sniping more viable but overall it is really fun.

Try a exterminus match sometime lol you wanna see mobs of orks.

Space marines and taking cover

It is against the Codex for a space marine to take cover their armor is their cover. tis why if you had to choose an armor save or cover save on a SM his cover is a 4+ and armor is a 3+ i think thats why they didn't throw it in there.
