Here is the Apostate Preacher from the Angels of Change Renegades, lead by 'Colonel' Angelus Simmersen (from the 10th/95th Varangian Fluff), more fluff and pics to follow.
Head from an empire wizard, body from imperial missionary, heavy flamer backpack, zombie hand, cadian respirator and grey stuff tube.
Feedback welcome... Cheers Laney

Hey Everyone,
Sorry these aren't the best pics - but these are some WIP shots of the Angels of the Change (the guy int he middle with the wings in Angelus Simmersen their Commander (he is based on a warmachine mercenaries miniature - can't remember which one) - all others are GW.
I'm not that happy with Sergeant No.2 (big claw coming out of his chest)- he is supposed to be demon possessed (hence the claw)
Any thoughts - I've thought about taking it off and green stuffing some faces onto his chest instead.
Enjoy Laney

I think I spot a mutant!!! Hehehe... dude, you make me sick!!!! Your models are ... damn... I don't have words! The best thing is that I know your painting is WAY above par... so we are in for a great eye-candy! My eyes are grumbling already!!!
It would be an honor to throw you my meager opinion on Sergeant #2... If I could know which one he is!!! HA! Can you please take a picture of him alone? Several angles if possible. No matter what, I do enjoy you ideas and models... your trash would be my treasure!

This was Sergeant No.2 that I was asking about - it just doesn't seem right somehow (apart from the scorpion tail, demonic claw and head vice of course! ).

Looks like he's in a world of hurt! He looks cool but also like a greater deamon is about to pop out of his chest. Auch!

Yeah... I agree with mudboy. GREAT model for a diorama, but not as nice for actual gameplay. Honestly? Reminds me of...

Yes I can see why you might think that!
I have a plan - more later (but I'm not saying what )

Thanks for the comment,
Unfortunately I'm nowhere near painting them yet (still gotta finish my Varangians IG Squad first!). The Apostate preacher (the guy with the respirator may get some paint over the weekend).
Any ideas about what I could do with the guy with the claw coming out of his chest? - it doesn't really work for me - I'm thinking green stuff some faces, eyes etc in place of the claw.
Cheers Laney

Mordheimer - Right... Well you threw down the gauntlet so here goes...
Firstly, I cheated by shaving the front off a chaos spawn piece (which was way too large originally) - the alternative was to spend ages struggling to produce something that didn't look as good.
Secondly, this was produced in my lads sleeptime (so it was a quick job!) therefore be nice about it .
This space marine is my second attempt at a 'truescale' space marine - for when I get my hands on the chaos cultists rules. He will be a corrupted (heresy) Blood Angel turned plague marine (since this pic he has started to become all Nurgle). He will obviously be getting filled in around the legs and chest areas - the green stuff doesn't need to be too precise due to the nurgles rot.
This guy is very old school (1985) GW original - I was nine when he came out - power armour trooper (space marine precursor anyone?). He is going to join the Angels of Change, who are getting a bit of a modelling upgrade before they get painted - I'm happy with the commander, the preacher and the workers, the other bits suck. No conversions just a nice curiousity model.
Sorry for the rubbish pics - these are WIP snapshots only.
Cheers Laney

WOW!!!
The mutant... WOW!!!! If I get a magic lamp with 3 game-related wishes, I would wish for 1) More time. 2) Your paint skills. 3) Your conversion skills.
No cheating on that model. I like it! I can see him on my mind... AGGGHHH!!
The Plague Marine is awesome too! You have a knack for this things! The Power Armored Trooper... never seen it! Cool retro model!
Thanks for sharing man!

I've been hard at work on the Angels and the future chaos cultists and have finished my Plague Marine (With my second ever attempt at OSL). He took a lot of green stuff, drilling and trimming to decay.
Feedback as always welcome...
More pics to follow - having trouble uploading more images
I put in a long shot - because I think the effect works better at distance.
Cheers Laney

OK... the bolter is freaking me out! Thanks for ruining my already short sleep... ohh, wait... that is what you wanted! Then, GREAT JOB!
Outsource lighting is an ungrateful mistress. The models ALWAYS look better from afar... until you get really good. So don't feel bad... your model is really good! I think the blending of colors is the most difficult part. Try practicing with drybrushing and wet blending. I know... they are opposite techniques! HA!
In a fit of pure jealousy, I posted an OSL model I made long ago (circa 2004... I was just a noob!)

You've read my mind - I really don't like Angels of Change as a name (It was when they were going to be a little tzeentch) - the name will be different eventually (not sure what yet) - but probably be a little more rotted (Gotta Love Nurgle)
Cheers Laney

Fantastic conversions the guy with a face on his chest is definitely more suitable than the claw (but that was still awesome). As for the painting it is unbelievable. The highlighting is perfect especially on the power claw and makes it look extremely realistic. I can't wait to see how you'll paint the other guys.
