| I've bought a small force of DE's. Started out painting them the traditionally dark, blue, green. But found the scheme was just too dark for my liking. So I'm trying something red (seems I always go red...) Heres the beginning of a Raider-transport. The paints are: Base: hull red, Lines: red scarlet. Highlighs: Troll slayer orange. Cant decide what the boardplanks should be... | |

| Very nice. Looks like the are airbrushed highlights but they are a bit hard to see in the picture. I will look forward to seeing a nice picture of the finished model with beautiful airbrushed transitions:-D | |

| Heh the first, red, highlight is airbrushed, the second, orange is painted on. I do not have a steady hand yet, but i'm getting better by the minute =)
I have some trouble finding the right exposure on my phone, and I have to order a new charger for my camera. But hopefully I'll be able to put up some pictures soon =)

| Oh No!! That's the worst thing I've heard today!
At my work we always joke, "we do it nice, because we do it twice.". (or occasionally, thrice).
Good luck with the do-over. -rhuntar

| Bugger! I feel for you Komfritten. I thought for a moment you were going for some kind of fancy star pattern/nebula!

| After the ... minor setback... I think I will take a break from my raider... It will stand at the shelf and remind me not to paint when Im sick with fever and tired from no sleep... | |

| Argh! It was looking pretty cool before the accident, if you feel like to start on it again I'd use the same colorscheme! | |

| To get some distance to my wrecked raider, I started up on the Talos Pain Engine - I really like that model for it's weirdness and evil purpose. Here goes: | |

| Painting on my infantry while the Pain Engine dries. Think I'm gonna up the colours and highlight to a more extreme to get the same feel as the TPE. The dark around the eyes is actually violet eyeshadow! =) | |

| The skin is quite tedious work... At the moment I whished I masked the shell of and sprayed it, but thats to late. Lots and lots of layers to cover that dark red ... Well, soon I'll be done with that part =) | |

| The dark red looks fantastic. Did you mask each segment? I am not sure how this model breaks down, but sometimes airbrushing parts unassembled can speed things up. | |

| Yes i masked each segment. The top cannot be painted separately unfortunately. I'm quite happy with the choice of colours myself. | |
