LGW's: Things to Keep busy until March [Incursion]

well after finding that Road/kill Kickstarter I went looking for other types of games out there. I knew Dark Future was there as my mates played that game back in the day. So after a quick look I found Car Wars. 

I raided the kids Hot Wheels box and here is the resulting kit bash the kids and I did yesterday:



Front three are mine: "The Grey Skulls"
Corvette with two heavy flamers and a Machine gun on the roof.
Chevy truck with two Tank guns, infra red, radar, 
Corvette with two missile launcher pods and two front machine guns and reinforced front.

middle row left to right: 
My Daughter's: "The Pink Angels"
Car #1: side mounted Auttocannon, three Grenade Launchers on Roof, and nitro-boosters.
Ford Truck: Bull bar, Anti-Tank gun, Mortar, and rear facing Vulcan machine gun.
Camero: Side mounted Anti-tank gun,Heavy Laser on roof, Nitro-boosters

Next are my Sons "The Engineers"
Ford Shelby: two side mounted drum feed Tank guns, two light lasers, rear facing light laser. supped up engine, spot lights, radar, infra red, 
Van: Turret mounted Tank gun, side mounted light lasers supped up engine, radar, infra red,
Camero: bonnet mounted Tank Gun, Supped up Engine, radar guided missile system. 

last row: The two cars are going to be Corporate Vehicles protecting Transport trucks.  
67 Pontiac: side mounted heavy Laser, side mounted Auttocannon , spot light, radio, sensors.
Transport Truck #1 & #2: Front Roof Laser, Turret mounted Auttocannon, Rear facing Laser, Side mounted Vehicle Shotguns, Mine layer, 
Dodge: Side mounted Heavy Laser, two front mounted machine guns, two bonnet mounted recoilless guns, spot light, sensors, 

So a total of 13 vehicles made, Thinking I want to get some Hlicopters, and Bikes now... Hoping to find some to fit the scale... any ideas?
Time to go paint some cars.

NB: have no idea if the weapon lay outs are correct or even legal it was what I had in my Bitz box and how the kids wanted their cars to look like. The wife wasn't to thrilled me using the kids Cars "you want to convert more BUY your own!!!" I smiled and "Yes dear."

Looking cool and interesting, curious how they'll look after painting!
Hot Wheels also have helicopter models as far as I can remember. Aren't they what you're looking for?

I am going to use the Outrider rule set with them as its the most likely rules that the kids will understand.

it is print and play so will be pricing it out to day to print. fingers crossed not to much.

have based coated the kids and my vehicles still got the two big trucks and police cars to do.

Had to "dumb" down some of the weapon systems they were tad bit much.

This is my big hitter, 



reasonable speed, good driver, moderate armour but a big gun.. with the added buzz saw those other gangs better get out of my way, or my Trailblazer will blaze their wheels. 

another 10 more to reveal once I get the batteries replaced in the camera or steal my wife's phone to get those pics. 

only thing I need now are more dice D8, D10, and D12's and we are good to go..

Angel's of the Apocalypse: The remnants of the Church have banded together to protect those that can not protect themselves. Some say they are touched by God other's by insanity and delusions.

Red Star Rangers: What's left of those who were the law enforcers. These brave men and women risk it all to bring peace and stability to the regions they patrol.

I can give one thing to the Road/kill Kickstarter it gave me at least a better understanding on what Car battle games were out there and I was able to find Outrider..

Just hope Greg does take it to Kickstarter and takes the advice been given about how NOT to do a KS project.

Currently adding in a Long horn for the Red Star Rangers and also had to modify NightHawk as its guns were in the wrong location to get the weapon arcs. 

But its all done just need some touch ups on it.

Also been working on some convoy type vehicles that will give the various gangs some targets to hunt and the Red Star Rangers to defend. 
just need to come up with a cool name for the Convoy faction... 

anyone got ideas? they are from the ruling government which is like a mega-corporation  
thinking what could we make out of:
N.E.R.D for the mega-corporation
G.E.E.K for the Rebel faction that is trying to under mind their power.

Ha! That was indeed a great book! A few years ago I have ordered almost all of the Fighting Fantasy books for quite a good deal from an amazon reseller. I had about 18 books for £8.50 or so. Only the p&p was a bit high.

I don't have freeway fighter anymore, but I did buy a pack of the new cover ones 1-10 (mainly for nostalgia reasons). I'd like to get the Sorcery series, which was one of my favourites.

I loved getting those at Christmas and through the book club at school! (Those were the days!)

I'm also a sucker for nostalgia, that's the main reason why I bought them. And besides that I'm a completionist so to complete my collection I bought a boxed set of all the Sorcery! books. I can recommend that box, got it for a nice price.
