The pics aren't that great due to a really budget camera. hope you like these were going to be the starting point for my Mordeim Pit fighter Warband but as I mentioned in another thread they got hit with a Death Squad stick....

Nice squad - very characterful. Who is the big guy on the right in the main first pic - I'd like to get a closer look. Are these based on chaos marauders? - they make for a really unique squad. At first I wasn't sure about the big blades and then my brain went manga/anime Exclamation at me and I thought actually that really works well. I think my favourites are the two lieutenants - they scream Roman praetorians (or possibly a little bit Arbites) at me (you must have quite a bits box - or you've just bought a whole bunch of sets to build them).

One last question - What's the fluff for these guys? - I love a good story.

Good work - keep it up!

Superb Squad! Very unique models. Shame about the pictures... I think I can give you a few tips that would help you make the most of your camera. Hope they help...

At this subject size, the f-stop is critical. Cheaper cameras do not allow you to play with it, so when you get too close the thing can't focus. If your camera has a macro setting (to take pictures of smaller subjects - usually represented by a Flower), put it there. It is an f-6 or f-8... not perfect, but good enough. If it has only an automatic, its ok... that would be an f-2 to f-4. Ideally you want an f-22.

Take the picture from 18 to 30" away! I know... the model on the picture would be 'small'... but if the camera is 5 mega-pixels or more (made at least on 2004), you can crop them with Picasa, and the picture would be zoomed in, in focus and PERFECT!

thx for the comments.

as for the big guy whe is made up of the following parts:

1x space marine tactical legs
1xspace marine scout sniper body
1x space marine tactical left arm
1x chaos marauder right hand
1x Imperial guard respiratored helmet
2x choas shoulder pads
1x twin-linked bolter chaos rhino
2x Imperial parchment
1x combat knife
1x scartch built sword

he'son a larger base as this most likely will be my assassin special character. still not sure if its suitable as an assassin miniature.

As for pics i do you use Picasa and I do use the "flower" setting but I do have a tendancy to get in close will try later for some more pics. as the squad has now been undercoated still working out the right colour scheme.

Cheers

Thanks for the info on the big bloke.

I'll have to try out this Picasa people keep mentioning - is it freeware.

As for the colour scheme - they look roman/spartan like - so why not a colour scheme to reflect that. These are 'Mordians' in game terms aren't they. If so, bright crisp colours is quite fluffy for them (I'm sure I read that somewhere!). I've got in my head the bare chested men to be wearing shaped armour like Emperor Commodus and Maximus in Gladiator. I'm interested to see what you go for.

Cheers
