| About time I tributed a bit to the painting and modeling section. I've been busy re-doing our Mordheim terrain the last couple of weeks but now i need something else to do for a while. First is a Chaos Cultist. The Flaggelant models are really cool but the Cadian arms have big shoulderplates and the Catachans are way too beffy for my taste, so a bit of brainstorming was required. I took a blunderbuss-wielding arm from the militiabox and shaved it down, then added the tip of a lasgun and the powerpack on the side of it. And there we have it; a primitive looking lasgun. Next up is a IG with a long-las. The gun is from the empire state trooper box with the tip of a lasgun and scope. The new state troopers are scaled a bit smaller than GW normally does so the arms are thinner than usual. That makes the head look three sizes too big. I'm going to give him a camo-cloak to cover it up. Hmm, what can i punish with the knife next | |

| Both very nice conversions. Looks like they come from a backward feudal world, where the technology has been jury rigged into the blackpowder level (or Vostroya looking at the blunderbuss conversion). The conversions provide loads of food for fluff Good Job - More Please - I can't paint/model etc myself at the minute so vicarious modelling is my only option at the moment! Cheers Laney | |

| Is the gun on the officer shown beside a medic just a standard piece off a sprue? I've only acquired a box of cadians so far and all their weapon arems kinda point to one side, like they're being held across their chest, so positioning one like that wouldnt work with them =[ | |

| It's from a std. Catachan box. They have some some nice looking bits in it. You should buy the command squad box, it has LOADS of gear and other cool stuff | |

| Seeing your blokey with the converted blunderbuss gave me an idea ;o]
I found a LOTR Orc that the previous owner had converted by removing the bow he was wielding & replaced it with a suitably nasty chaos mutation arm. I've just removed his other arm (which was attached to its body just under the head) and replaced it with a pistol from the Empire Militiamen box, removed the firing mechanism as you have with the blunderbuss and added a small piece of sprue as the power pack. Now I've just got to re-define the detail on the body and the join between the power pack & gun and I think I've got my first proper Chaos chap =]
P.S. Only 3 gashes to my thumb so far thanks to my little used scalpel! I need to get more modelling done with it & not my trusty penknife!

| Some VERY NICE kit bashing there! Your Lads display quite a varying degree of holds on reality...some decidedly tenuous. Keep up the FINE WORK...some paint might be appropriate. | |

| @Mathiasdark: Plastic is great for conversions and there is no end to the posibilities of strange combinations. @Deafnala: Yeah, the paint will come eventualy... i hope Here's a little wip of a cultist flamer: | |

| I definitely prefer converting plastic based models to metal ones, so much easier!
Very nice flamethrower! What did you use for the tubing?

| @MathiasDark; It's just some plastic tubing and a paper clip. The IG squad is complete and only needs some paint. First the Officers: Two HWS and a Medic: | |

| Finally I finished the first model in my urban fighters squad! I tried giving him some camo paint and at least his face turned out okay. The next guys should have an improved version of it. Cheers | |

| You suck! I hate you... well, not really. It is ENVY... pure and unadulterated envy! The model is GREAT! The face is PERFECT!
If I may try to give you advice... yes I know... it's like the kitty trying to teach the Lion to roar... on the Cammo, you could try something like what Foot did. See the pictures of his Imperial Aces. He is my inspiration!
