wow! I'm really impressed. They look good. But be honest- what your commander had on his head?!

The Sergeants are my favorite... very nice! The Commander seems to have a book, practicing his posture! Unfortunately... he has NOTHING on this girl...

Did he just graduate from EYe of Terror University (Cadian Campus)? Because it does look, from this angle, to be a mortar board.
Not that I can paint anything half as good.

These are great!
I love the Ogryn particularly the skin tones and the back story is cool as well. How do you get through painting so many minis so quickly (I get two or three a week if I'm lucky?

02laney:
I am a "table top paint" standard. I don't do a lot of details like your amazing work as long as my opponent can tell that is an Ogryn, heavy weapon specialist, I am happy.
the main problem with these figs was the original paint job that was on them was crap. So I chose to cover them up..
all I did for the Ogryn was:
painted all the clothing dark blue
painted the skin grey
then I picked out all of the muscles on his arms, face, with white
I painted all the armour and weapons platinum silver
dry brushed the clothing cloudy blue
added a dry brush of light blue on the clothing
did a final dry brush of white on the clothing
once all that was dry gave the entire miniature a good dose of blue ink.
as for speed painting I am on holiday at the moment and also I have a deadline of Friday to get at least three squads painted so I can have some options for the Demo game I am doing on Saturday..
And on a side note your the inspiration for this paint job....

Very nice, you should be proud that your quick paint scheme is far more effective than anything I have painted and I take a looong time to paint. The commanders head makes a lot more sense from the side angle.

I wish
that would be great. or we could take it to the extreme level and make it that they all have 6+ unmodified saves to simulate they are not always corporal.
at first I really hated these figs but after the Ethereal paint job I am loving them.,..
its amazing what a splash of paint and some inventive fluff can do.
next project is the Slaanesh Chaos cult followed by my Eldar squad. after that I'll start my Kroot squad and maybe looking at a concept squad for a Genestealer cult. [still got to make my 3D tiles and a 2D tile set as well for FiCQ.]
so much to do so little time...
cheers LGW

Whoa you've finished an entire squad in the time it would take for me to assemble and paint only 1 or 2 minis! Very nice effective paint scheme, the apostate preacher is very good.
