Well...if you discount imminent senility & possibly congenital idiocy, it's probably because I LOVE the little suckers & have the time to lavish on them...one of the few pluses for not gaming. | |

| Thanks guys, 02Laney Which ghoul? Sorry they're all kind of hunched over. The ghoul models though they look bigger in the pictures are actually quite a bit smaller (and probably in more true to life proportions) than games workshop models maybe this is because G.W models aren't true 28mm but this combined with their great level of detail meant I took a lot longer than I normally would painting them. Some WIPs of the rest of the band: I'm not sure about how I should position my Vampires sheild either way looks a bit sill any suggestions? As always feedback is welcome | |

| Maniac ghouls rock! Good choice! Awesome greenstuffing man. I just started doing some of my own and it's freakin' hard. I like the first shieldpose (just to make it easier for ya! ). | |

| Thanks guys, Two conflicting opinions! I guess I'll just have to see if any one else has one because I'm completely uncertain. Intrepid Adventurer Yeah greenstuffing can be very time consuming, but its probably my favorite part of the hobby. Are you going to post some of your work? I'm sure it will look great and the feedback you get is really helpful. | |

| Kiwi: How about no-shield?!?! Intrepid Adventurer: Heheheh... messing with Kiwi!!! Now he has a triple conflicting opinion! FYI, Master Kiwi HAPPENS to be a natural Green Stuff genius! He was working on his Ogryn and we started saying "would not be cool if you could sculpt a CAP?" He responded... WHINED... "But I have never sculpted anything!" The next thing we know (NEXT DAY) he comes up with this AMAZING Ogryn. Gesh... by the Emperor's Uvula! Perfect on the first try. The man is a prodigy! Do not be ashamed... ASK Master Kiwi to sculpt ANYTHING. He will complain and hate you (don't worry... it only hurts a little the first few days, then you kindda like it!) but at the end, he will do something that will make you green with envy (get it? Green with envy? Green Stuff?... bah...!) In any case... he is an example and inspiration to all of us. Show us YOUR work... we will give you and honest critique (I know it IS hard... my only accomplishments are filling gaps, some hair and a butt... ... yes, an ASS!) trying to give you an honest opinion on how it looks and encourage you to the point that we will too hate you when you succeed! Hey... if I can't sculpt, I can cheer/hate! PS: Kiwi!?! I hope you were not reading my note to Intrepid Adventurer! I don't know in New Zealand, but here in the USA reading other people's mail is a crime! Go away... play with your Green Stuff! | |

| I vote for the first shield pose. I have to say that I have not only seen the greenstuff butt that Mordheimer refers to, but I am now the proud owner of it! Getting good at greenstuff is all about practice - the more you do the better you will get.
Nice work - how about some painted pics?
Cheers Laney | |

| 02laney I hope to get some painting done this weekend but I'm thinking of doing a battle report so I might not Mordheimer You exaggerate? No, never. The only reason I'm any good at green stuffing is because I enjoy it and I'm fine with spending a fair bit of time sculpting. I really suck at coming up with ideas for coversions thought so mordheimer if you actually want him sans shield give me another idea. Your sculpting is far better than you would try to lead people to believe. I need to get some more greenstuff . So now Laney has tied it. Is it just me or is there a conspiracy to try and get me to make up my own mind? | |

| Well... I'm in a weird mood... kindda helpful. I like the 2nd Model. The reason is that it would allow the model to have 'more than one angle' to appreciate. Hard to explain... If you look at the picture, I see the model's face (very important for the illusion of 'reality'), the armor (that skull will be a nice focal point), but I don't get to see much of the shield (NOT distracting). Then, if I move the model to the side, I get to see the shield as the MAIN focal point. With the right paint (and I do believe you can do it) the model will get that difficult 360 view. Look at Laney's and DeafNala's models... no matter which angle you look at them, they look super-real. | |
