The Great Father Nurgle has spoken to me, gifting me with the insight that my mind and noble birth truly deserve. The fall of the Varangian 'Tenth' was entirely due to other events and I was wholly blameless. The forces arrayed against us dictated a rapid withdrawal - How was I supposed to know that the thrice cursed Reismann and his 95th would hold the line and through a lucky strike eliminate the Rebel commanders? It defies belief that someone so low born could have led to my downfall.

But there is hope, within the toxic jungles around the hive city, disease corrupted my flesh and that of my followers. And now, we must prove to Varangian that we are their saviours and betters.

Peralus Jungles - South Eastern Quadrant
'Colonel, sir, movement detected to the west, beyond the river,' said Obadiah Hakeswill, one of Simmersen's most trusted underlings. A vicious creature who had embraced the blessings of their new lord. Obadiah's barbed tail, dripping toxin swished backwards and forwards with anticipation.
'The Eldar are here... Just as Father said they would be,' said Simmersen quietly.
Faces swirled and snarled on the surface of Hakeswill's body, indicating the daemonic corruption within. 'Lock and load, scum!' he shouted to the ragged workers huddled behind them. 'We have xenos to kill!"

Yes, those are cardboard packing materials for buildings - I plan on building more terrain over the Easter Holidays.

I have TONS of things to do... I see YOUR post and I stop. I see is a battle report and I start to salivate almost uncontrollably.

I start reading... as usual, it not only NOT disappointments, but engages me... it brings the other stories back to life. Past battle reports, stories and backgrounds flash madly inside my already convoluted mind. I can stop 'em... besides, I kindda like the sensation. So much that I start making a conscious decisions of recalling past stuff. Captain Reismann and his injuries... Eldar swift attacks... the Ork's rush... the Inquisitor on that sweet vid-screen... hmmm... vid-screen...

I smile and look at the ceiling, when I remember that there is MORE. New windows to a world I have not seen. I eagerly peek in... and see Pappa Nurgle's intrusion on some bastard's mind. Corruptions are seen as blessing and the purity of humankind degraded to a xenophilic puddle of scum. Good intentions starting to go horribly wrong. Another test for my hero, Captain Reismann. And then, it happened...

I just ran out of time to post - what with my little boy waking up - I know you know what that's like!

Anyway here's the rest of this battle report (Varangians also fought - report to follow)

Colonel Simmersen spots the Eldar battle line advancing towards the bridge across the Csaren River


The Ulthwe Eldar secured the buildings on the far edge of the bridge


THe mortar secured on the far side of the river took a long shot at the the Eldar Exarch and recruits, the frage mortar blasting the exarch off his feet and out of action.


The workers/cannon fodder, Dust, Flea and Geek advance across the bridge, ahead of Sergeant Hakeswill and Enforcer Jackson


The Ulthwe warlock Caesare blasted away ineffectually at Sergeant Hakeswill for three turns, with mindwar, before finally blasting the corrupt humans mind sending him OOA.


Simmersen sensed the weakness of the Eldar and forced his soldiers across the bridge to engage them at close quarters. The warlock was put OOA under a mass of autogun and lasgun fire, Simmersen finally putting paid to the xeno with his bolt pistol at close range in retribution for the injuries sustained by his favoured Sergeant.


The damage sustained to the Eldar in the vicious firefight caused them to rout, dragging their injured leaders with them.


Result: Angels Victory (But only just!)

Injury Rolls: All officers recovered without major injury, except for an Eldar warrior aspirant, who suffered a hand injury (-1WS)

Renegades: 4ERs
As they advanced across to take the region previously controlled by the Eldar they came across a Varangian IG corpse, with an undamaged helmet, which Colonel Simmersen claimed for himself.
They used the resources to recruit a HWS specialist with flamer and rearm the mortar HWS (though only with 1 AP shell!)

Eldar: 4ERs
During the retreat the Eldar ransacked an IG truck (possibly belonging to the corpse found by the opposing force), in which they found 20 Credits.
They used the credits to recruit and equip a guardian with lasgun and provide armour for the warlock, saving the remainder for a healthcare specialist following the next battle.

GREAT report! I'm getting all the info fairly well... and I feel I'm part of the campaign. I don't want to strangle you anymore... for now. MUAHAHAAH!

guys just to let you know those are my eldar and it really was a close battle as you can tell not very well painted but i was and am still painting some models ready got my other warlock much better and in progress of painting other rangers and dire but dont know wt colour cheme
