Very cool. I am sure you have already answered this, but what medium are you using for the faces? Greenstuff, sculpey, something else?

The faces are Green Stuff with jewelry beads for eyes. With the Mushrooms, I make the basic shape out of plumbers epoxy (similar to Milliput) Then the face & stem are done in Green Stuff.

I have no comments or critics just wanted to say that it's another very interesting looking piece which I'd like to see painted asap!

Since I'm pretty enthused about this piece & making some similar thingies, I think that the finishing work should go faster than normal...or not.

Typically of my work habits, I've added a piece to Crazy Mary's; i.e., a smallish islet off the main digs which may be the residence of the Sharx Bros., Harpy, Cheeky, & Grouchy the Piranha Boys. Two more Four A Cherubs were added to the mix, which, in turn, drove off the West Wind Cherub, Chunky.

Now that the excuses/explanation part is done, here are some typically mediocre pics:

Another thing that occupied my Weekend was a move of most of the Spooky Woods Photos to their very own album. I figured this woul make accessing individual photos a snap...it turned out to be 14 pages & 211 photos...so far.

HAHAH! Your Cherubs are great... and the painted one is AMAZING! Great (un)intentional blur of his buttocks.

Thanks, Mord...I'm glad you like them. I'm really enjoying The Project much more with each new thingy I get going...I guess it shows. The out-of-focus on the rear shot of the Cherub is probably due to the prudish nature of The Camera.

Until I can figure out how to get my Bulk Loader on PhotoBucket working again there will be no new photos.
They're piling up in Picasa, SO when & if I get the thing sorted out, you will get inundated with really crumby photos.

The Photo Bucket fix proved to be relatively easy. SO you're about to be subjected to YET MORE photographic abuse. The speck of land off of Crazy Mary's Cay has been finished. It is the lair/hangout/digs of the Dread Piranha Club (Four A style...eventually). So without further ado:

On the "come to life": it's probably the faces/eye balls/etc...it's hard to ignore the living part of a Mushrooms that are trying to chat you up.

I like the little island... can wait to see the whole piece (with the bigger one) together!

Thanks, Mord! I'm painting the large islet. It's coming along, but slooowwwlllyyy; re, I really over complicated the Beasty. One of the Cherubs got eliminated from the mix due to a localized Apocalypse...otherwise known as the dread lemming leap off the work table.

While there are still some embellishments to be added, like some reed & cat's tails, Crazy Mary's Cay is now done...OH BABY! AND here are some Photos of ASTOUNDING Mediocrity to prove it:

A LOOK INSIDE A CRAZY OLD MAN'S MIND:
SO having used up five of my Mushroom Guys for Crazy Mary's, I figured I should replace them. Getting a tad carried away with the thing, The Five were duly replaced by The Eleven. Then says I...Old Men, particularly the of the deaf & crazy variety, tend to talk to themselves...while I'm at it I should paint the Lads/Whatever up to make things easy when I plant them.
The end result is The Twenty Eight:
