| So in my bid to cleanse the galaxy of the Ork menace, the ork menace suggested that I might win a game eventually if I had an ogryn. However I think ogryn's are silly, however robots and mech are cool. So I was thinking about just using a sentinel as an Ogryn, it's big and has a gun voila! But then I started thinking that since Deathsquads isn't a GW game anyways I might as well branch out. My first two thoughts were the mech suits from Avatar and AT-43 walkers. However after looking into it they are both sort of hard to find however I did come across this guy. http://www.grindhousegames.com/products/grunt-ape-1#feature I had know about Incursion from before and had even downloaded there trial rules (NAZI Zombies? doesn't get much cooler and more evil than that). But the thought of starting a whole new game system with no opponents was a bit daunting. However I am now seriously considering adding and APE to my Death Squad and for half the price of an ogryn I might add. | |

| Very cool and great prices. I've been waiting for a few more models to come out before I think about building a squad from these guys. Slugger Murphy is perhaps my favourite of the APE models. Laney | |

| COOL STUFF! It's taken quite awhile for the Incursion Game to come out...looks to be worth the wait. While I was at it I checked out some of the other minis; the Nazi Babes look pretty nice. Under the Junk Heading, the SID Robot are REALLY COOL: Oh the possibilities! | |

| More alternatives http://www.olleysarmies.co.uk/sfogres.html If I ever got one I think this is the one I would go with. Then again I plan to order my imperial guard squats from this site anyhow | |

| Well... this topic just earned a "sticky"!!! I love that model. As a matter of historical fact, when we were first toying with the concept for Death Korps, THAT is what I suggested for their 'big unit'. I got me a model... ONE day I will work on it! HA! allows you to substitute models... for game purposes, you are an 'Ogryn'. For YOUR purposes, you can be an Albatross for all I care (although the Ape is WAY cooler! ) If it helps you to create a better story... GO FOR IT!!!! | |

| Edited for for being a dumbass by assuming and being completely wrong . Disregard it turns out the mini is only 25mm tall...sorry. These might be pretty good base models for an Ogryn (Mechanicus maybe ) with a simple weapon swap. I like the bulky armor look. From the pic the base looks to be maybe 30-40mm. | |

| Alternative ogre model from Studio McVey. It looks to be about the right size, but I haven't had it in hand, though. http://studiomcvey.highwire.com/product/swm2005-jagganat-heavy Could probably also work as a scaly for Necromunda, while you're at it. | |

| You can't pick them up separately (but you may find someone selling 2 spares as you can field them in units of 3) but the Privateer press Ogrun Assault Corps might be an option: - Actually you probably can pick them up separately in their bits store! How about this from Mad puppet miniatures Dark age games outcast Mungo figure:

| While this is technically a fantasy miniature, I've used this figure to make an Ogryn to good effect! A weapon swap, and perhaps a head swap... | |
