| You can read the fluff on this squad: Chaos Eldar Cult of Slaanesh Anyhow this is the test fitting for the "Exarch / Chaos Space Marine" of the Dark Scorpion Shrine called Kaelis Ra (Nightbringer or Destroyer of Light). The claw you see there will be modified to look more like a scorpions claw. And the splinter rifle will be replaced with either a chaos or regular space marine chainsword. I may also be adding some other stuff to this mainly the base will need some work. I also got my demonette standard bearer in the mail today also but I figure everyone knows what they look like. Seeing the sculpt on these new demonettes is making me think about chopping some of them up for my Dark Banshees. Here are the bases I plan to use: The 40mm version of these comes in a 6 pack and I only need 3 so I will be selling off the other 3 so keep a eye out for these bases in the trade section. Anyhoo that is all for now I will be getting some other stuff in the future but this is going to be a slower project at least some of it will have to wait till after xmas. Much like im waiting to get my rangers till then also. | |

| Looking good - I think you're right to go for a bulkier claw on the left to balance out the slaaneshi marine shoulder pad (I've found the kabalite warrior pieces to be very detailed - but also quite small, even compared to regular eldar bits). Will the chainsword look elegant enough for this model? Those bases are very cool - the epitomy of chaos. I bought some ages ago and used them up very quickly on early projects - what was the name of the supplier again, I forget. Ace fluff with huge scope for creativity and a great start on this guy - look forward to seeing the rest of the squad! Laney | |

| If someone says size does not matter...then they are lying. Go for a bigger claw. | |

| Im probably going to shave the back side of the chainsword down. If that doesn't work i may just make something out of plasticard and greenstuff if I have to.
The bases are from the Warstore, Micro arts studio makes them. (i usually use the Dragon Forge ones but they don't have anything chaosy enough for this project.)

| VERY COOL mini! I like the wing thingies on his helmet. It should paint up a treat. The Dark Eldar Cult of Slaanesh is, of course, not to be confused with or have any connection to the Dark Elf Cult of Slaanesh...if you look up the expression "one trick pony" it should be followed by the G.W. logo. | |

| Yeah basicly I would have loved it to be a dark eldar cult of slaanesh but the fluff just didn't work. | |

| The new plastic demonette's SUCK there is not a single well thought out joint on these models. The arms are cut in half and you are expected to glue them together and HOPE it holds which it doesn't. On top of that the joint where the legs meet the body.... flat pieces that are joined together with other flat pieces not interlocking area so it makes a nice strong joint. NO. WTF games workshop? are you trying to make it harder and harder to put these together? | |

| So daemonettes not good as far as models go? Does anyone know about the bloodletter plastics (I plan on getting some as the base for some plaguebearers - to act as counts as chaos warriors in my fantasy army - with a few spare for a chaos cultists squad)? Hope the rest of the squad is going well Dysturbed - any picture updates? Laney | |

| I just started assembling the Exarch yesterday with the Demonnette. He needs some more work on the claw before i start posting pix but he's coming along:)
The demonette ended up in a pile of parts after 20 mins of trying to assemble the model and it kept falling apart every time i though it was dry enough to move on. WHY WHY would they not at least put a little nub and hole to help assemble them. Also note that only certain legs go with certain bodies so it really doensn't work if you get the wrong parts which I did. I'm going to go with it and try to make it work though. | |
