| Here is the painting blog thread for my eldar squad. Ill start off with my wraithguard "Kaleque" I am using the grey and black theme here though I added the wraithbone color to the head and some pads to give it a more wraithguard like look. The weapon and gems are not finished so this is still a WIP. I would love to put him on a nice Dragonforge base but I haven't been able to order them for the whole squad yet so ill be getting them all at once. As you may notice there is a new eldar symbol on the tabard which is the symbol for my homebrew eldar Craftworld Read the fluff here! | |

| He's on the standard base he comes with now but i don't like it it's too small I think it's a 25mm slotta base. Id like to put him on a 40mm but do you think that is too big a medium unit? Though come to think of it I much rather prefer the rounded lip bases like these to the GW ones I may just get these. | |

| does he get the Huge rule? [+1 to hit -1 to wound]
if so then base him the same as an Ogryn. If he doesn't then I might look at a base thats in between the 25mm and 40mm... he's currently on a small base.

| For my officers do you guys think i should paint them in the typical eldar aspect colors or only impliment those colors in a small way?
Or just pain them like the rest of the unit and do something to make them look important?

| I like the idea of using the same paint scheme for your squad, while implying the different aspect they belong to - it will make the squad much more coherent and less 'taste the rainbow'. Cheers Laney | |

| true. I could reverse the color for the dire avengers like I did on the model for the xchange. The red armor with grey stone or green. Instead of Grey suit with red gems. | |

| Nice work, looking forward to see the team coming together. Good job on the symbol, painting on folded cloth ain't easy! Funny to have some "goth-eldar" roaming around doing dirt. I'm currently working on my own eldar squad and is going to do the helmets in their aspect colours and keep the rest in "squad colour" just to make the squad feel whole, but if you like the aspect feel you can always keep the squad together by making the bases stand out a little and paint them similar instead. /styggisen | |

| Wow. Very nice great job on the highlights on the armour. Very ambitious work painting the sword freehand like that. The effect is very nice. | |

| Whatever I say is going to undersell my first impression...
Perfect (nice pics too), great pose, lovely paintwork (the highlights give a real sense of light direction).
Worth the wait!

| Thanks guys for the comments.
As for the pictures. I got a new natural light lamp which helps a TON on getting the pictures to come out better. (also getting a new camera soon. Nikon D3000 digital SLR so with the right lens I should have some great shot in the future).

| WOW! I tell Dysturbed... you should work for GW's Marketing. You are the ONLY person I know that makes Eldar look really bad ass! If I were a noob, I would play Eldar... but since I know better, I rather play with a stronger and meaner bunch of soldiers, like Gretichins! SUPERB MODEL! | |
