| Here's the pictures I promised you. Half the squad made. Interrogator Wolfe: Nothing done here, I'm thinking of getting the Inquisitor retinue box and convert the Inquisitor to my needs. Arbiter Khan with maul and with the change of the magnetized arm... armed with a shotgun. The converted shotgun doesn't look that good nor is the shield ready. I just happened to find a few Khemri shields in the bitz bag I got from GW for pre-ordering the new WH book. It really came in handy, lots of nice bitz. Death World bounty hunter My mercenary captain became an a Death World Bounty hunter during the process. The gun clip is from a termagaunt. Preacher Grim One of my favourite, preaching the holy word while smiting his foes. Sadly here is where the magnets failed me, somehow it didn't keep the book hand in the pose I liked. So... I made another figure for him... Sadly I've misplaced all the books I used for the previous one. I counted 5 sprues and could only trace 2. Hopefully I'll find one unused. He will be in a similar preaching pose while his enemies Flamer The image of inspiration for all this redemptionist Hereticus squad and why I took cadians of catachans. Just love that flamer with the fuel tanks on the back. Now my problem lies in the missing book and bitz to convert the Arbites twin brother. Should I make all my trooper Redemptionists, I was thinking of making my Heavystubber heavy either a ganger or arbites. I'll convert another model for the Bounty hunter, a crouching pose with the long-las he's going to get. Hope you like it. | |

| Nice models. The Death World Bountyhunter is a very cool idea, very clever of you.
I also like the Khemri shields, they have a really nice shape which I haven't noticed before. It might look good to sculpt a scroll on it and use a transfer to put some text on it...
The flagellants (why does my computer not recognise this word?) are really versatile and probably one of my favourite GW boxsets of late for that very reason. You might want to add some grenades, pouches, etc. to make them a bit more futuristic.

| Nice start on these guys - I love that Gideon Lorr model for the Interrogator - very nice (Apart perhaps from the forgeworld models - the best inquisitor out there). The flagellant flamers are cool - nice remodelling of the top one. The Deathworlder is also a cool idea. Look forward to seeing where this goes Laney | |

| Thanks
The first flamer on top is the 2nd model for the Preacher Grim. I'm thinking of giving him the flamer skill as soon as possible. I'm still a newbie with greenstuff can only stuff gaps with it, but I'll try to do some kind of a longcoat for the scum or then I'll try something else.

| Greenstuff is something that only gets better with practice. I sculpted my first face last week (its only taken 3 or 4 years of practice!). The only advice is lots of water and decent (clean) shaping tools. Keep it up! Cheers Laney | |

| Agree with both of Laney's points. I would suggest getting a model you don't really care about (I use the 3rd Ed box set Space Marines as there are 20 of them) and test sculpting stuff on them. Fill in the eyes, sculpt a Blood Angle Chapter symbol on the shoulder, flames on the shin plate, whatever just to try out different techniques and get some practice in.
The single most useful tool for any Greenstuff sculptor though is the Clayshaper. You can get them at art supply shops (it might need to be fairly big) and they make sculpting about 32.7% easier, your details cleaner and just really make your stuff look better. I cannot recommend enough how useful they are!

| Very cool squad! The GS on the visors looks a little rough. May I suggest some clay shapers? They are great for making smooth surfaces! Once I started using them instead of only hard tools my GS improved greatly. I bought mine in Panduro Hobby and it looks like they also have stores in Finland? And in my experience, patience is key to GS. If something dosn't turn out the way you wanted it to, start over again. Some of the hoods on my Renegades was redone 6-7 times before I was happy with the result. Cheers

| Thanks for the tips and suggestions. I'll look into the tools and continue to try my hand on greenstuff. There will be a slight pause before I'll update this thread with new models or paint. | |
