| Hi All, In the usual way I've lost focus on my IG (temporarily), because of LGWs ace Plague Dolls team. I've located a club that has a blood bowl league (The Chelmsford Bunker) in which I can get myself back up to speed with the game (I'll have a few practice games at home first while I'm building my team up). As a result, I've started converting a Skaven team from night runner, stormvermin and IOB rat ogre parts (which are winging their way to me now). I may use occasional blood bowl minis (the 2nd edition skaven are ace models), but primarily convert the team. I would also like a Norse and an Orc team made of converted parts (but that's getting ahead of myself). Here are the first two converted from some incomplete night runners, greenstuff and some marauder and lizardman shoulder pads... Linerat: the face guards and helmets on both rats are greenstuff and paperclips (the curves on the paperclip are almost the perfect size) Skaven Thrower in classic throwing pose (sorry for the pink!) I sculpted the ball and the ends of the fingers around the ball I have no ideas about team name or colour scheme (not red though!) - so any ideas gladly received. Cheers Laney:D | |

| Wow, the ball and fingers look great. I really like the paperclip cages. These are looking fantastic so far.
I just noticed you have a nasty mold line visibly on the tail in the last picture. It might show up fairly badly when painted.
Looking forward to seeing some paint on these!

| Good find on the mouldline - I hate mouldlines!
I'm hoping to get paint on them tonight.

| That's quite some list LGW! Look forward to seeing the results. Once I've converted these guys (the night runners box arrived yesterday) I want to buy two or three of the high quality alternative teams out there. The Necromantic team by Willy Miniatures and the Orc team (with a few extras from other lines) by Neomics are awesome. Here is Mirk 'Viper' Warpfang Star Thrower of the Cripple Peak Cutters... Not a great paintjob (but I did paint some of it in a power cut!) I've modelled the two stormvermin and part finished on two more linemen and a gutter runner. The Rat Ogre is the hulking one from the IOB box set. Cheers Laney:D | |

| Taking a break from an ongoing project can add new interest to the beasty when you return...I usually blame a lack of focus as another sign of imminent senility. That aside, COOL LOOKING RAT GUYS! The conversion work is up to your high standards & the painted R.G. looks TERRIFIC! | |

| Thanks for the compliments as always - I'm not hugely happy with the end result on the thrower, but he's a fair start. I hope that the stormvermin will be an improvement... Here are the latest conversions on the team: First Gutter Runner... 2nd Linerat... My Stormvermin (Blitzers) Cheers Laney | |

| Only you can take 'crappy' Skaven and make them so cool! WOW... This is super insane! You built the head-guard from scratch too? AMAZING!
Now... why is it that you are not happy with the first one? Maybe if you point out what you don't like, we could try to help. That or confirm that you are insanely over-critical! HA!

| It's one of those - looks better in reality - things (yes, I know I need to work on my pictures!). The paint job is uneven and lacks depth (especially the purple) and the weathering is absent (I've fixed that). The team is coming together and the conversion work is almost done.
On the next team (Orcs - I've decide to convert the spare models from the Green Devils Kommandos and add a few extras where needed) I plan on painting the black with washes - painting dark grey with light grey highlights and then a series of careful black washes. They will be Da Tituns and follow the colour scheme of my first Football (American) team - black, black and more black, with a little red trim - this will challenge me to add depth and make sure that my conversion work is up to scratch!
More soon...

| I love these conversions, but have you thought about using a thinner wire... I think that the cages would look better with some fuse wire or something instead of the paperclip wire. Keep them coming though they look great . | |

| must. not. stray. from. path...
argh! I have 3 BB teams painted a long time ago lying screeming for re-painting... And I have so much else to paint and build - you guys are NOT making this easier for me!
My skavens envy yours alot - "the followers of the tentacle" needs upgrades and conversions - thats for sure...

| I never finished painting my Dwarves or Haflings for Blood bowl, but I have to finish some other projects first before I can go back to them, I spent 6 months converting a Hammerer unit for Warhammer, I really need to paint them first! | |

| I might find some thinner paperclips (this was what I had to hand) - I like the cartoon style though - it fits the models as a whole (the night runners in particular are not great models (good for converting though!).
I'll refine the method for the orcs (I have my first conversion in progress) - a rookie orc blitzer.

| I love the orcs! That armour on the black orcs looks superb. Lots of work to put that together. I am really impressed. So much character. Maybe if I have enough orc bodies left after my current projects I will make some bloodbowl orcs too. Open hands seems to be the biggest challenge. | |

| Thanks Narcissus - these guys are totally from my bitz box (I think the black orcs were left over from The Albino). Open hands are a total pain - the throwing hand was cut from an old orc archer and the pointing finger taken from another. The grot hands were easier -two from ghouls and one from a zombie (I don't want to use too many of these as I may build a necromantic team at some stage).
I'd like to do another thrower at some stage and I have a battered skull pass troll (that has been much abused by paint) that I'd like to add.

| Great great orks. I think orks and skaven are my absolute favourite races, and I played them both in BB... But my skaven met a chaos team and ... died...
The ork body armor are just great and really fun! So orkish!
Taking notes for greenstuffing =)
