So, there are first picture of my squad. You can find background here: LINK and squadlist here: LINK .
They are very WIP, I'll have to do some greenstuffing and other improvements (well, and paint them all ).
Lt. Bastian Baine (Captain with hellgun)
MSg. Lance Everett (Lieutenant)
MSg. Neil Garrick (Lieutenant - planning to equip him with shotgun and bioscanner )
Sgt. Felix Cliffton and Sgt. Tyler Slade (Sergeants)
Spc. Lucas Tanner (HWS with flamer, obviously )
Spc. Will Weston (Field Medic)
Infantry dudes
You can see my idea of color scheme on sergeants and flamer-guy. Of course some insignias will be added.

Excellent conversion work - very subtle.
Loving the simplicty of the autoguns and shotguns (and you've trimmed the lasguns too?).
The captain looks ace and the hellgun is really clear. But my favourites are the recruits in the bottom pic. The guy on the left looks like he's just finished someone off (with the gun and the knife!)
I like the colour scheme - I'm a camo fan - but it is nice to see clean paint schemes too.
Looking forward to the finished squad

They look great. Nice conversions. They look really good but are pretty subtle. I really like the Bretonnian heads on the bottom recruits. The hellgun looks great too.

LOVE 'EM! I got the impression we got us another 'sleeper' (like Komfritten and Narcissus) here boys! Here comes Lazi... and sneaky quiet and PUM!!! Who knew he would amaze us with such great conversions?!?
The conversions are subtle... BRILLIANT! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for kind words. To comment some of your comments:
Yep, I trimmed the Lasguns... The first guy I was making was meant to be Jenkalan and it seemed to me that shorter weapons might be better for close quarter fighting... but then I changed my mind a decided to go for Cadian based squad (but I will definitely make Jenkalans later - have a few ideas for it) - but I liked the shortened version of lasgun, so I decided to shorten all of them.
As for painting: I tried camo, but it ended up horrible, so I went for clean scheme... Still thinking of giving more white to it instead of grey (shoulderpad, pants).
I really like the Empire Militia heads too (obviously)... Unfortunatelly these were my last ones (I mean the two with helmets)...
I'll paint them soon enough, I just have to finish work on these autoguns (still not satisfied with them) and improve things here and there. But trust me, I want to see them painted more than you do

So, I played with GS a little and more or less finished the assembly-phase. Now I have to paint them, which is my less favourite phase But some pics of what I did:
A little conversion on the hellgun. Not much but it is easier to distinguish it from the lasgun now.
From this picture, you can see how the autoguns are going to look like (have to clean the cuts a bit, but I am quite satisfied with how it looks). I also had to model the end of the left sleeve (check the previous pictures to see what was the problem).
The bald guy did not git the freshmen fluff for my squad, so I gave him some hair... He still looks old, but no as much as he did before.
And one "action" photo on the end (not much converting, except the autogun )
I need someone elses opinion about one thing: helmets. I already cut the "back-thing" from the cadian helmets (medic and sergeants), which I really disliked. Do you think I should cut also the "ear-thingies"?

Looking sweet man! The hair is also very nice, did you paint it grey? Looks like the "plastic grey from the sprues".

I really like your models, so simple and still very good conversions..
The Captains Hellgun looks great... If you got a Scope of some kind it would look perfect on that.
A little "sad" that the shotgun is hidden behind the scanner, but still a great looking model.
The SMG type of autoguns is very Jenkela, Urban style.

@ Gatlag Stonetooth: No, the hair o nthe picture are greenstuff green... Only the lighting made it look grey. I actually started painting that guy and made him ginger I hope I'll be able to upload some new pics soon.
@ skavenslayer: Thanks I prefer the simple conversion, as they usually look better - it's hard to keep proper proportions and phisiological possibilities when making some more comlicated ones. But I am planning to sculpt some legs, 'cause I have several bodies left from command sprue - and that will be real challenge You are right with the shotgun. But I had problems with posing the left arm so I decided to go for this John Shepperd style (Stargate Atlantis anyone? ). But the right arm with the shotgun is not glued to the place yet, so if you want to see how the shotgun itself looks, i can take a pic (before I paint it). I am thinking of the scope on the hellgun (after your idea to give it to the captain) and already found some transitive plastic that I can use. But I'll put it in place after painting it (I don't want paint over it).

A picture of the shotgun would make me very happy I dont know John Shepperd or Stargate Atlantis, so that makes no sense to me, I would consider a different pose for that guy, but if it works for you, no problem.
Looking forward to seeing the Hellgun w. Scope

It took some time but I found a picture that may give you the notion:
Well, he has P90 and sort of smaller scanner, but those are just minor details. Btw. try that series - it's really good one (Well, not as good as Firefly or Game of Thrones, but neither of them is true sci-fi, so no wonder )

Okey. So I took a picture of painted knife recruit (you know, giving names to side characters will get them killed really fast, so better use a nickname for him ). Some minor corrections will take place (mostly the metal parts)... I am quite scarred of making pupils in the eyes, you when I gather my courage, I'll try to do it too

Paint and conversions look great, love the autoguns and the hell gun. I need to compare a stock lasgun next to one of yours to see where you shortened them. I just bought a ton of bits for my Jenkalas, but it will be a long time coming before I work on them.
I used to name my henchmen in Mordheim and will name my recruits in Death Squads. The funny part, is every time Franko the Infantryman dies...when I hire a replacement, the new guy is named Franko too...weird. I think if I have a recruit do some epic stuff before dying, I'd probably 'retire' his name and pick something fresh.

So, I've been working on my squad again and finished painting the "Private Ginger" (on picture) and started on the other two infantrymen (no pics).
But I have something slightly more interesting for you. I've been going through internet looking for different kinds of snow-vehicles I might use (more as a piece of terrain or an objective than anything else) and came across this aerosledge-thing (it was used by Red Army in WW2):
I fell in love with this machine and decided to give it a try. But before using expensive plasticard, I decided to use greenish insulation foam, that was lying around after some terrainmaking experiments, and some other things. And here is my very first prototype of the Aerosledge (there are many things missing, but again, this is just for finding the right shapes and getting idea of the size).
Hope you like it And I hope to get the proper prototype done soon... But there are some study troubles ahead so it might take some time...

This is brilliant WW2 ingenuity.

You could also do a Fordson Snow Machine!
(I do not know how to imbed the video, hope the line works)

The link worked. And I have to say it's quite impressive machine. I will try to keep it in my mind and think about using it
As to the sledge. I am now considering the propulsion. Should I use the air propeller that was originally used on the soviet sledge or somewhat more modern jet engine? I can imagine the sledge having two small jet engines (one on each side). But I quite like the classical "hoover-look" too. What do you guys think?

Lazi: Crazy snowmobile! I like your test WiP model... nice! I think a little more of an angle in front and would be perfect.
Long_John_Silver: I embedded the video for you! Hope you did not mind. Simple to do... once you find the video in YouTube, copy the web address (URL) from your browser. In this case,
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBjlSJf4274
Then press the video button on the forum, the 5th icon from the 5th group ( ) and paste the URL there. Make sure that it has the HTTP:// in front (it usually does) or if not it will put a link and not the video. In your forum post, the code would look like:
