| That is a LOT of yellow!
What did you used to base coat? Seems a little granular. Yellow is hard to paint... wish you the best. Go FIRE LIONS!

| gotta be careful with that primer you will end up with bumps like that if it's too humid or cold outside.
Good choice with the white primer on the yellow thou it's definitely the way to go.

| I live in sunny Arizona!I used GW white spray primer this is not the first time that this has happend also when you touch them you come away with a white chaulky substance on your hands ! That is the way it came out it looks a bit ruff, so I am going over them with skull white waterd down a bit and give them a few coats of it then the same with the sunburst yellow! I will use Baal red wash when I am done and dry brush with blood red so they will not be so bright you need sunglasses to look at them! Yes yellow is very hard to work with lol! And as always I am up for any suggestions? | |

| I use Krylon White Spray Primer and I haven't had it happen with it.
That being said when I did use GW primer it happened all the time.

That being said when I did use GW primer it happened all the time. I'm a Krylon convert too! Hell... I also use CAR primer (grey) because it has small particulate. Krylon is cheap (less than $5) and VERY good. You may want to dip the models you have not started in SimpleGreen for 24 hours to remove the bulk of the primer with a toothbrush. Both products you can buy in Walmart... cheap, non-toxic, non-smelling. GW primer is THE enemy... worst than heretical!

| Thanks! I had some GW primer so I used it! I have Gray Krylon auto Primer, and hae used it I have also used kilz before but did not like it! I will not use GW primer anymore! lol I will get some Simple Green I have used that before and some Krylon white primer! I agree on the GW primer I think it was old there is nowhere to get GW stuff around here, only if I drive an hour to Tucson! So I bought it through the GW site I do not order stuff anymore through them, Ebay works good for me! | |

| Be careful not to get the sandable filler (or buildable) primer if you get auto primer. The reason it's called filler or buildable is because it fills in small cracks and details on paint on cars. You don't want it to fill in your details on your model too. | |

| Great advice Dysturbed! I was going to give you a big fat DUH!... then I saw my new can of Primer. Guess what? SANDABLE. Shame on me... I learned my TWO lessons. 1) Read the label of the Primer... skip Sandable or Buildible cans. 2) Never, ever... EVER mess with Dysturbed! Sorry... rats.... my list of 'unmessable' people keeps growing. | |
